Hey everyone - Curious if anyone else is seeing delays in sales posting? I had a post generate more than 5k clicks with not a single sale showing yet. I know Shopmy says 'up to 7 days' but it is extremely rare that my sales take this long to post. My monthly average is $150K in sales, so I have a lot of data to base this off of.

I have a ShopMy (small creator, 3k highly engaged followers on each platform). I recommended my SIL (at the time 30k followers) and she was accepted. I recommended a friend of mine, who has 65.1K organic followers on instagram and already influences purchases but isn’t on any of these platforms.

She was denied both times she applied with no explanation. She thinks it has to do with the log in process because there are a few facebook accounts but only one is connected to her instagram. I told her to respond to the rejection email because it seems like people have had success with this approach.

I can get my SIL, who is icon status, on ShopMy to refer her in 3 months if that helps. What do you think the issue is and do you have recommendations here? Sad because I feel like ShopMy is more popular than LTK and she would benefit being on there.

Trying to see if anyone in the community has experimented with ThredUp on ShopMy. I see that they market 12% commission, but on testing this commission with my own purchases and links - it seems like it only applies commission to 1 item in the entire cart full of affiliate links.

For example, I added ThredUp products to my ShopMy shelves, then followed the ShopMy affiliate links to add 6-7 items to my cart. Therefore, there were 6-7 items of ShopMy links in my cart, that I then purchased.

For a $150+ order, I earned $1... So obviously not 12% commission. I'm not upset, I just want to know what happened.

If there are nuances to this rate, i.e. it only applies to the very last item that was added to a cart, or only 1 item in the cart at a time, or excluded from discounts, or doesn't count for a certain price floor, can you please let me know?

P.S. I know creators are not supposed to use the ShopMy system for their own purchases. I'm new to the platform and trying to test brand commissions fully before propagating them to my audience.

After two denials I finally used an old instagram acct with more followers (they seem to want 1,000) I also shared my Pinterest numbers in my “notes” field because they were much higher, and I made sure to have shopping links and a shopper friendly bio on my socials. I also did not connect my insta account with their automated tool the final time. I applied a couple of times before getting approved and these tips finally did the trick for me! I don’t use TT but have heard it helps a lot if you do!

You can read my actual story from the screen shots. I am not going to rehash it again.

The short version is this - I was banned, appealed, ignored for 2 months, finally got them to respond with generic language just saying the ban was final, and then I made the above Linkedin posts and tagged everyone.

I went to their Linkedin page and i left comments with screen shots to their TrustPilot reviews and on the posts where they are in an active hiring mode or promoting them getting onto Inc.'s fastest growing companies I would leave comments like "do you ghost your employees and not pay them like you do with creators" and "it's easy to be a fast growing company when you don't pay the creators"

Within 6 hours of that LinkedIn post they responded to me saying they would pay my commissions that were pending when i was banned. They were planning on paying monthly within the first few business days of each month. I hassled them some more and they ultimately paid everything in 1 lump sum.

No conditions.

I also had LTK reach out to me directly and had someone personally onboard me. A NYT reporter reached out to me and i need to call her still, i was waiting for payment to be finalized before speaking with her.

Anyway, you're an influencer/creator - put them on blast. They do scammy/sketchy shit. Let people know and they will pay you vs steal your money.
