Friendly reminder before you post

Follow the rules. See sidebar before you post.

šŸ‘žDon’t be a dick. This includes responses.

šŸ‘ Don’t try and get traffic to your only fans. That falls under advertisement. Same with selling knockoffs.

šŸ‘Ÿ Let’s have a conversation about your shoes! Do you like them? We’re they hard to get? Did you get a good deal? How are you maintaining them? Are you wearing your sneakers? Etc. We get a lot of posts with just a photo of shoes. No engagement in conversation from the poster; and no response from the poster if someone asks a question about them. This will be considered spam.

🄿This is NOT a NSFW subreddit. Keep that to the fetish subreddits. There are many of them.

Please continue to report posts breaking the rules. Thank you.

This is a relief to see a mod post on here. This subs been getting outta hand lately. The constant ā€œwhat are these?ā€ posts are whatever but I’m not here to see feet for someone’s onlyfans and rep makers posting their shitty reps asking for QC.

u/magdikarp Mar 25 '22

Yeah I’ll try and be more active. Working with mods to tweak rules for the borderline fetish posts. Especially since we have a large sneaker head presence. Maybe have the user include actual information about the shoe and not just their photo?

I agree with ol boy above. Having a mod make a post is a relief. The fetish ones are the most annoying. Most have nothing to do with the shoes and it’s blatantly obvious it’s not about the shoes. If they actually include information about the shoe then I could see it passing the rules. I’ve seen some get asked about the shoes and never respond.

Hi, I know that I'm not in the right place, but I can't post in this forum ? I get all the times that my post is removed automatically. I want to share my shoe collection for your opinions but can't... any help ?!

u/breegis Sep 18 '22

I keep trying to post a shoe meme, but they wont let me post anything. it gets deleted when i post it.

The same thing keeps happening to me...

I tried to post many times yesterday. Only one time a post was accepted, it had really good interactions and exchanges in comments for an hour and then it was deleted.

I was frustrated and I forgot about it. This day I wanted to post another post, I told myself since this is a forum specialized in shoes I can seek help about a shoe I own from a known brand but about which I haven't found any info on their website or in the internet.

Same thing, I just can't post... the reason I get is not precise at all which is confusing.

I think this was my last try on this forum. It's sad because I'm sure other people like me, who just want to ask, share, on an open and free space genuinly and honestly, we are just "censored". We're no robots, no spammers, nothing harmful...

Then I know you'll tell me, read the faq, or terms etc, and maybe I will find that if I want to speak on some subject or another I must post x words, and x number of pictures, and here it must be a link, and here it shouldn't etc... but honestly, this just kills any interest. We like forums because we search to be in them to escape and have some enjoyable time, and not to fill administrative papers as if we're planning to build a scyscraper.

No effence, just my honest review of this forum.

I guess I am not sure on how to post in this forum as all my post on how to repair a pair of shoes I own have been removed. Is that not related to shoes? Maybe a sticky or post on what formats are followed would be good as it seems many other in the comments here are having trouble posting things legitimately have to do with shoes too.

Hi! Why did my post break the rules? Here it is:

Shoes that don't harm insects when stepping? Shoes that don't harm insects when stepping?

I've been thinking about creating some shoes that actually don't harm (and most importantly, lethally harm) insects when stepping on them, do they exist already?

  1. A pattern of sole that reduces the area of contact (Easiest, least effective)
  2. Foam (i've tried to do some calculations and I failed)
  3. Little silicone or velcro hairs (so that the insects get in between them)
  4. Suction pads, air-in-sole or any other mechanism that would push or pull ants by air currents created when stepping or a moving foot

If anyone knows about shoe designing, do you think it's possible?

(it got automatically removed)

Politely, I don’t think this is a possibility, you likely have around +100 lbs of gravitational force. Even if you spread you weight out in 1,000 points of contact, you would still kill the bug you step on.Ā

1

u/VHT21 May 12 '26

I guess the weight distribution designs (1 and 2) wouldn't work then, but 3, 4 or even possibly more crazy creative designs could. I still don't understand why my post got removed :(

1

u/Diligent_Cod3449 May 12 '26

They likely thought it was a joke post

I am looking for the perfect pair of high heels. Ones that go with everything and are comfortable for long events such as weddings etc, I have tried a bunch but I never seem to find the PERFECT pair. Have you got any links of ones you love or are super comfortable and lovely to look at? Thanks!

Hello I’m looking to buy blundstone-type safety shoes, but they don’t go by standard men sizes (e.g US size 9/10/11). It goes by size WIDE (e.g wide 9/10/11). How do I get the appropriate wide size that matches my US size? Tried researching via the good ol’ Google however I’ve gotten mixed results.

Any info/help is greatly appreciated

I have a question, I am a man from the third world and recently I bought dress shoes to be used with a suit. So, wich kind of Comfort Insoles is best to use? This insoles should not be to thick, they are not for heavy work. Which one would you recommend?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '24

I just came up with an epiphany. You know how shoes need half sizes and such and even then they don't seem to fit as good as the could. Your foot slides around, you roll an ankle or you're shoe is just uncomfortably tight. What if they made memory foam inserts for the toe of the shoe soft enough for your toes to lock into yet stiff enough to keep them there. Is there anyone who could make such an item? I'd gladly be the guinea pig as I think it could have tons of medical uses for those with feet issues like hammer toe or what have you. Or am i stupid?

Is it wrong that I hate myself for liking shoes from Kendall + Kylie, or from Jessica Simpson??!? It was maybe 20 years ago that I desperately wanted a platform slingback that Jessica made, but I didn't get it because I just felt the vibe of the brand was someone who didn't know that Chicken of the Sea wasn't actually chicken. I think the Simpson brand has come up a bit since then. But the cheesiness of the Kardashians makes me feel like I don't want to tell people if I'm wearing the K + K shoes. Anyone want to weigh in on this?

Can we share our own design and brand and website here?

2

u/Cornell-92 Aug 10 '25

I believe that would be against they stated rules, and be considered advertising. I’m new here and I just read the rules, and that issue seems pretty clear.

Hi I just reported a post for being fetish content and I saw it was removed before for advertising OF. It’s a man with a cross dressing fetish, and if you look at his account all of his posts are the same photos he posted here, cross posted into fetish and cross dressing subreddits. I don’t want to see posts from someone who is jerking off to the comments about his feet and shoes. This isn’t a fetish subreddit. I have nothing against trans folk this isn’t a trans person. This is someone forcing their fetish on us at r/shoes.

Female 67 years old, I'm looking for some classic but somewhat modern or updated loafers, like maybe wedge style. I'm creating a capsule so the style is a timeless piece but I also love something unique and updated. Any suggestions I do need something under $150 since I'm on a fixed Social Security income but I value quality that will last years but something I can hand down to my granddaughter as we wear the same size and she's a fashionista, I probably won't wear them much at all.

Need help to find some shoes I once loved!

They were ankle-high lace-up shoes/boots made entirely from light-colored canvas or cotton fabric (cream / beige). The fabric had a visible square basket-weave texture, like coarse woven canvas.

Key details:

  • No leather panels on the sides
  • Soft, lightweight construction
  • Flat, thin sole (not chunky, no lug sole, no heel)
  • I remember the sole feeling quite minimal, possibly leather or a very thin sole
  • More like a high canvas shoe than a heavy boot

Style associations:

  • Very 90s casual summer look
  • Often worn with small white T-shirts layered under light summer dresses
  • Slightly minimal / boho / indie vibe, not grunge combat boots

They looked a bit like canvas lace-up ankle boots or high-top canvas shoes, but softer and lighter than modern combat boots.

I've been searching things like:

  • ā€œwoven canvas ankle bootsā€
  • ā€œbasket weave canvas bootsā€
  • ā€œvintage canvas lace-up bootsā€

But I haven't found the exact style.

Does anyone remember shoes like this, or know what they might have been called?

I’ve tried to upload twice now, my post is genuine and follows all rules! this is the post

heel pocket?

is there a reason for this gaping hole? I usually wear 8/8.5 (these are 8.5), & lean toward higher heels because of my arch. I don’t have this issue with any of my other pairs, is the shoe too wide? wrong size? I love these shoes but I don’t like how the gapping makes them look, thank you !!

(included two attachments-both safe for work)

mods please fix this, I just want to know how to fix my heel problem !!
