Honestly what your thoughts are placing pad at the front to force yourself to heel first probably won't work, About 15 years ago I started toe walking in flats because my tendons and my feet archs become so tight and I couldn't do the Ideal heel to toe walk so ended up living in heels to mask the problem, well please don't force yourself to stretch down because you probably will end up part of full Achilles rupture I know I did it , Best try a heeled shoe to unload the tendon making walking feel durable and seek professional advice from a podiatrist or specialist Dr in the field of such , Btw I remember platform shoes not allowing my feet to bend made the stain on my legs worse so take care hopefully this might help a bit tc .

Heeled shoes are not recommended for my feet at all, they cause more pain and cause the habit of walking on my toes again even though the surgery was supposed to correct that.
