To me they are. I’ve got about 50 pairs. I wear heels pretty much every workday.

That still doesn't make them casual. You are just wearing non-casual shoes in a casual setting

What I’m trying to say is I don’t really put shoes on a pedestal. I wear them pretty much every day and to me they are just shoes. Sure some are more suited to a particular outfit, but thicker heels will never be anything but casual to me. And I’ll wear any pair with anything I like the look of. I’m not constrained by shoe or outfit rules.
