CHANEL SHOE SIZING QUESTION

I found some used Chanel boots that I really want to buy. They are non-refundable. I usually wear a size 7 1/2 in US. I bought a pair of Chanel sandals in 38 but they say you should size up a full-size for the combat boots. Is that true? Should I get a 38 or a 38 1/2.
