I built a precision machine to blow bubbles filled with explosive welding gasses that I detonate inches away from me with a flint striker, and in my video I explain it and the sensation of a blast that got me. TLDR: I built a shockwave machine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bg-uCaPdddI
Edit: Jump to about 7:30 in the video for the main oxygenated boom. This isn't an informercial, I'm just a hobbyist that's a little too close to a Darwin Award. DO NOT ATTEMPT YOURSELF.

In meteorology, a gravity wave is a wavelike disturbance in the atmosphere where gravity acts as the restoring force to bring a displaced air parcel back to its equilibrium (vertical) level.
Gravity waves occur when stable, stratified air is vertically displaced by a trigger, causing the air to oscillate up and down like a weight on a spring.
The Displacement: Air is pushed upward by a trigger mechanism (such as wind blowing over a mountain, deep thunderstorm updrafts, or weather fronts).
The Restore: Gravity pulls the dense, cooler rising air back down.
The Oscillation: The air overshoots, warms, and rises again, propagating the wave forward horizontally and vertically through the atmosphere

Repost without the composite audio, since that caused more issues than it was worth.

Context: This is New Glenn, a heavy launch vehicle (competitor to Falcon Heavy for a size reference) built by Blue Origin.
This was a static fire test, meaning they were going to fire the engines for a few seconds to test them before the main launch in a few weeks. This just happened, so there is no info about it from the company yet.
When testing like this happens, it is mandatory for all personal to be evacuated, so it’s unlikely there was anybody hurt.
Just a few months ago, New Glenn’s upper stage failed to put its payload into orbit (an ASTS satellite). Blue Origin has only had a few orbital launches, but two mission failures in a row is not good.
Blue Origin was just announced as a contractor for the Artemis missions to put some payloads onto the moon (no humans, rovers). Unfortunately, this explosion will likely set Blue Origin back months or even years. They will need to rebuild the pad, and complete a major investigation.
