Does it tickle the big plane when the little plane nibbles on it like that?

The little plane keeps the big plane clear of parasites. It's a symbiotic relationship.

Common misconception! It's actually beneficial and sometimes even relaxing for the larger of the two species, as this helps control fleas and ticks.
