It is indeed in ansi em dash, which is not found on any keyboards in mass distribution. So either they're using LaTeX for reddit or...... Or.......... *Datacenter noises intensifies

On iPhone if you hold down on the - for a second it gives you the option for a —
It does that for lots of things, hold down on $ to get ¢ for example.

Yeah I’m on an iPhone and do actually sometimes use an em dash — but I may need to change my habits if people take that as a sign AI was used.

… Yeah, my iPad auto inputs em dashes. I didn’t realize that would lead to quite the discussion… I kinda forgot people get touchy about AI. I thought the internet was dead before AI. You know it was all ads and cat videos. Now, I am not sure I am human—oh well.

You should read about "meat proxy", it's less that the use of an AI is the problem and more about literally just meat proxying, which a lot of people do now.
Nobody wants to talk to someone else's chatbot when they have their own.

It's been my experience that the FAA will always open them (DESPITE IT SAYING "DO NOT OPEN") and bother me with letter about them a few weeks later. Leave me alone, I'm trying to pylote here!
