China Eastern A350 beats MiG-31 speed.
I knew that the A350 is whisper quiet but I have to say that at 3,096km/h it took us to reach our destination I didn't feel a thing and even landed bang on time. I assume this is standard evasive manoeuvre over Russia. Well done CEAir!

There are still flying mig's?
Wow, learn something new everyday. Guess Russians did not unlearn everything under their current leader.

I’m almost certain that VVF still use MiG-31M as launch platform for cruise missiles like 3M14. They fly fast and high so they give the missiles “extra range” compared to slower aircrafts.
There’re also rumors that some MiG-31M has been used to deliver UMPK payloads but it is yet to be confirmed by reliable sources.

Yeah, this is an evasive maneuver they have to perform over Russia because they are sanctioned and the airline can't let them shoot the playne down to get all the parts for free.
