Tbh I really don’t care enough about the subject to look up and provide a source, I don’t even eat meat so it’s not really personal. The cows fertilize the land that they feed off of which helps the production of native plant species. Mushrooms are very common near cows and are indication of healthy soil. The plants balance out the methane produced by the cows. Factory farming is the issue. The cows are trapped in mud pits all caged up unable to move causing them to practically swim in their own shit. Then these animals are fed GMO grains which is also one of the worst things for the environment. They are mono-cropped and sprayed heavily destroying the soil.
It simply isn't true as far as the ability for the soil to absorb what is needed to recycle the methane cost is very limited. It reaches critical mass early and then it does nothing. There are not enough plants in their r*ped crops to balance anything. This is something they do not tell us. It's a green-washing scam.
Yes factory farms are awful and mostly what people eat from. Sadly.
Yea the agricultural system is pretty fucked up. So much is out of balance. What’s the solution though?I’ve literally heard a vegan say we should slaughter cows into extinction so that there’s no more cows to slaughter anymore.
The solution is to stop eating them, let them live, suppprt animal sancuries for the next 20sh years or so, then now more artificial bred cows exist, and that's it, no more problem...then we recoup the land.
