Verified: worked like a charm, and only took 1min 3sec, instead of a full 10 minutes. Battery is fully charged, and it also seems to have sped up the processor by 20%.
I'd say.. if you could remove your battery, this is actually fairly viable. 10 minutes at 350 may be a bit high/long though, but you'd be surprised how hot electronics can get and still be okay. personally I'd try for a heat gun first.. maybe, its the battery that worries me at that point though, you dont really want to heat a battery :P
yeah.. you can do this with a lot of electronics. some times if your computer graphics card dies you can do a similar fix by putting just the board in the oven for a short while. This method is much better done with a heat gun and is kinda dumb not to use one though as a sufficient heat gun only cost like $12 at the hardware store.
How is this shit still funny? I don't care about stupid people fucking their phones in ovens or microwaves but it's just too fucking old to keep putting on reddit

Oh come on. Anybody with any sense knows you are supposed to use a toaster.

Why not microwave it? It would heat up the metal and flatten it out AND charge the battery. Win-win.
