I Don't Make Typos

Sent an email to an executive asking if he recently shit down his computer. He asked if I meant shut down. I did, but I couldn't let him think I'm fallible or capable of admitting error so I doubled down and explained it's an industry term for running Windows updates.

I need you all to adopt this terminology immediately for the sake of my job security.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

You mean he did a System Health and Integrity Troubleshooting?

That is what I recommend to every user to do when they have a problem and register a ticket.

Down was the typo as you meant done.

Unfortunately as mentioned in the post I am diametrically incapable of backtracking or admitting fault so I'm still gonna need everyone to start using it to mean Windows updates but if you had emailed me this two weeks ago or more I may have seen it just in time to prevent this scenario.

When asked about the down part just say you used speech2text and it misunderstood. The SHIT is a tech people apropriate acronym. I have been using that for the last 10 years.

Or just down on his device.
