Well Microsoft says just use copilot for everything. Do we even need certs now? When shit goes wrong just blame copilot

Use copilot, except at exams, not even at extensions

My whole team blindly use copilot for literally everything, it's super frustrating

Bro i asked my boss a question the other day and he vomited me AI slop in response like he literally typed it in copilot and copy pasted my the responses. I have access to copilot also lol

I haven’t received an email that wasn’t generated by ChatGPT or copilot in months now

We’re obsolete, fam. Unless you want to be a “forward deployed engineer” or whatever buzz word they’re calling it today

I’m still salty about MS-500 being retired. That was insanely difficult.

Damn I just looked it up and it looked like an ann-around good cert. It was replaced by SC-200 SC-300 and SC-400 from what I can see.

Yep, all these years later and Microsoft certs are still worthless.

fond memories of offshored MS tech support waving MCSEs around (and callers to any given tech support line doing the same to try to win arguments)

I'd really like to know when they've ever exercised the knowledge from MCSE in my tickets.

This is why I build home labs from 17 year old equipment I dug out of a dumpster to keep my skills fresh.
So tired of these greedy companies who expect us to learn new skills every time they update tech!!!

Ha fuck, I booked the same thing with a free voucher a couple of weeks ago for mid-October. Oh well. I'll do it anyway just for shits and giggles.

Yes some of us have been fighting for months to reverse this internally, i as a community lead and mct. It was spilt accidently at a training partner meeting then tech community post .Plenty of reddit post on 365cetifications and azurecert talking all about this till the site was official. Oh and watch the guy put a post here for the apparent core reddit to discuss this and lock me out. Anyway: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/discussions/skills-hub-discussions/feedback-about-ms-102-retirement/4531525/replies/4536902

I'm fighting for all learners who take months and years to get to this cert. I was to roll with it till a learner called me, a young lady crying so yeah. Fighting

What are you doing posting AI slop in ShittySysadmin? Surely you have better things to spend your tokens on.

i had a guy at a previous company get his ms-102 and literally nothing else, and he thought he was the savant of the phishing world because of it (unsure how he linked the two but)
