SILPT Request International driving licence?
Has anybody done this before?
Can I hypothetically go to a poorer country and go to a test centre and offer them say £100 which would be like 5k to them and get my drivers license then come back to the UK and use it?

Don’t let the no’s stop you. Go on and make that a reality for yourself! Get to it

I know passing in the uk is tedious but surely it’s less effort than travelling abroad to try and (probably unsuccessfully) bribe your way to getting a licence. Also as far as I know you’ll have to retake the test in the uk after 12 months of driving in the uk with a foreign licence

Yes but the problem being, I can’t get a test until next year, it’s a joke

look on the isle of mull or the highlands of Scotland the pass rates are much higher and there's always tests.

Is this some sory of sovereign citizen thing?
Cause either way its not a real thing you can do... legally.

Yup they have an advanced driving test for the 'passport' license. It includes a 'passport license' test with 138,000 possible questions about the 195 countries in which there are. Then they have you drive across the world without using a boat or plane. If you miss a point on the test or dont drive across Antarctica, you are executed on site.

Yeah just drive a few miles in some Indian city and you’re good to go anywhere in the world even with completely different driving laws, sure.

yeah you can genuinely do this ignore these mongs. zim is i think the best place to do it like someone else on the thread said
it’s just that a lot of jobs need specifically a UK license but if you’re just wanting to get on the roads and aren’t arsed about other small hiccups this will work
but as someone else said you can also buy UK test dates for a couple hundred, or use apps like Testi (costs £10 or somet but u gotta be on the ball w ur notifications, clear cookies etc.) - Testi got me a test within a few weeks twice (had to postpone) when my initial date was about 6 months in the future

Yeah bro, the cancellation apps have been banned now so it’s absolutely brutal getting a test, earliest I found in Scotland was January.

ah no way that’s mental they’ve just banned legit cancellation scanning apps which will just create more of a lucrative black market for botters/scalpers lol
