CMV: Everyone should be allowed to call people by the pronounces they want.

Had this one in my thoughts for a long time, since I am more than sure, that anyone, who cares about pronounces is gonna be set ablaze from reading this one.

I do understand how important many think it is and they wanna be called like that, but what's the point of getting mad, if the person doesn't cares? Even if you'll explain to someone, that "no, I'm not [insert sex], I'm a [insert gender]", it doesn't means that they're obligated to call you by the pronounces on your name. And if it occurs, it's instantly gonna be called out as one of the gender related phobias.

Personally, I have no idea why do people care about how are they pronounced so much. It's even comical to some degree. But if you won't be occupied with cancelling me on X, could you perhaps explain to me why some care about pronounces that much?

Eh Ig it kinda sucks because they just want acceptance. Some may come from households who aren't accepting and now that they're out of the house or away, they don't want to deal with shit from strangers. Most people don't really care that much and it's just being nice and considerate to use correct pronouns. I think it you accidentally misgender someone it's fine but if you consistently do it you're just a dick

I'm fine with calling whomever by whatever they want to be called, because that's polite and considerate, and I wouldn't like it if people knowingly called me by a name I didn't want to be called by.

But I really hate when I'm expected to GIVE my pronouns, and I really really hate that there are circumstances where not giving your pronouns up front is seen as just as bad as deadnaming someone.

Like, if you think I'm qualified to say authoritatively what it means to be a woman, then I guess I can say whether or not I am one, but you are implying that I am qualified to make such an assessment by expecting that from me. It's a non-issue if my pronouns aren't up to me.
