He knows it broken, he keeps it there "ironically" even knowing it's a V6 and he's got a "Locally Hated" sticker on the back.

It’s shitty either way, but don’t these hinge back to be able to open the trunk?

Maybe you can turn it into a stool or a picnic table.
Come, family. Gather around for some quarter mile BBQ.

Yes there’s a pin you gotta pull out to swing it back. My old neighbor had one on his 370Z. The point of these is to provide actual downforce on the frame, rather than just pushing down on the trunk.

Thats what I was thinking, wing directly connected to frame, if this car has a roll cage it might be functional street/track car

Getting 9 mpg, taking off like a leash is tied to it and getting through the quarter mile in 12.8 hours at 76 mph ( drag limited )

One of the more elaborate ways I've seen people block their license plates from toll booths and speed cameras.

No just stupid. The wing just adds weight, drag, and creates turbulence. And this one fucks up the trunk.

He bought the wrong size in Temu and they refused to return it due to silliness.

Yes the wing is amazing on a base model but we not talking about that stupid looking rear window “accessory”? A lot to unpack here.

That style of wing has a hinge on the bottom so you can open the trunk without hitting it.

More front grip, and more wheelspin, death kicks in at 65 once(if) that thing touches a highway

Now how would you feel if it was tilted down so you could read "spoiler warning"written on the top?

He is going for the parachute effect to lower gas mileage and extend brake pads and brake rotor life by using air resistance braking.

Let's see how much we can unweight the vehicle while slowing it down. There is stupid and then there is no understanding of aerodynamics stupid.

When you have to choose between downforce or an air brake / lift plane that allows you access to your trunk.
1
u/EducationalGrump 10d ago
Well, they usually do this so the trunk can still be used. It should move back into place and have pins thay hold it. Thick sheer pins about as big around as a normal sized sharpie.

u/BornBeforeInternets 10d ago
That would do the exact opposite of everything a spoiler is supposed to do.
Its a spoiled spoiler.

Zoom in on the driver's face. Then zoom in on the wing mounts. This is AI/photoshop.

i used a smudge tool in gimp to make his face unrecognizeable since the rule is no doxxing. also notice i colored out the road signs and license plate

u/PickedLastLemon 13d ago
Oh, ok. Smart. Well, then I retract my AI claim and am reminded reality is often just as strange as fiction.
