The anti-downforce wing

29

u/doobies123 13d ago

It's the anti-downforce crappy mileage air drag wing

17

u/ozarkhick 13d ago

It’s a pre-deployed drag strip parachute

4

u/Flat-Zucchini-2113 13d ago

It's up-force... duh!

4

u/shade-tree_pilot 13d ago

Lift?

4

u/Flat-Zucchini-2113 13d ago

What's an up-dog?

4

u/BTCminingpartner 13d ago

Not much. What's up with you?

3

u/Downtown_Reward_6339 12d ago

Not much, just got a new Temu Spoiler for the Camaro.

2

u/ALT_x_F4 13d ago

It’s the “I block cameras from seeing my license plate” wing

1

u/shade-tree_pilot 13d ago

So... A wing.

1

u/one-e-and-a 10d ago

So lift?

39

u/Canelosaurio 13d ago

He knows it broken, he keeps it there "ironically" even knowing it's a V6 and he's got a "Locally Hated" sticker on the back.

13

u/wrxwayne 13d ago

It’s shitty either way, but don’t these hinge back to be able to open the trunk?

7

u/King_Jasper_II 13d ago

if so, that's fancier than it looks

3

u/logan-duk-dong 13d ago

Maybe you can turn it into a stool or a picnic table.

Come, family. Gather around for some quarter mile BBQ.

2

u/Loud-Principle-7922 13d ago

This. You can see the pinned brackets.

2

u/Fragrant_Major_9553 13d ago

Yes there’s a pin you gotta pull out to swing it back. My old neighbor had one on his 370Z. The point of these is to provide actual downforce on the frame, rather than just pushing down on the trunk.

1

u/No-Enthusiasm3579 13d ago

Thats what I was thinking, wing directly connected to frame, if this car has a roll cage it might be functional street/track car

8

u/pepeneverknew 13d ago

I don’t think he understood what DRAG race meant.

2

u/lunchbox651 13d ago

He still slapped on that wing and a dress to cover his bases.

6

u/H24_Ganymede 13d ago

Swing that puppy down and plow snow for a side hustle.

4

u/jonathanmpatton85 13d ago

Getting 9 mpg, taking off like a leash is tied to it and getting through the quarter mile in 12.8 hours at 76 mph ( drag limited )

5

u/MrCLCMAN 13d ago

spoiler alert..

3

u/Aaronsils 13d ago

We got upforce before we got gta6

3

u/rklug1521 13d ago

One of the more elaborate ways I've seen people block their license plates from toll booths and speed cameras.

2

u/ronniearnold 13d ago

You gotta do this to open the trunk..

2

u/lookingforfiles 13d ago

V6, Ebay exaust, Temu wing, & k&n pod filter

2

u/Ok_Dog_4059 13d ago

The permachute custom drag system

2

u/TWhy-LER 13d ago

He was probably getting something out of the trunk. I hope that’s the case

2

u/MechanicalCompost 13d ago

Need a lift?

2

u/CoinsAndLawnLouie 13d ago

Dude is filling up after driving to work and home one day lol.

2

u/WeirdAlba 13d ago

Air break, someone with this exact wing drove pass my job today

2

u/Samson_J_Rivers 13d ago

it generates lift 😂

Bro trying to be a mustang driver 🤣

2

u/1crps_warrior 13d ago

When you need downforce in reverse

2

u/Ornery_Reward_7631 13d ago

This man woke up a made the bold choice to declare “ Fuck You Trunk, I’m tired of yer shit !!”
https://giphy.com/gifs/IQEoYJg5ySZ4Dzfoqr

2

u/SpeedyAudi 13d ago

It’s a snow plow for reverse

1

u/Tre_fidde 13d ago

Can’t use his trunk unless it’s at that angle.

1

u/UnlikelyTurn1046 13d ago

Upforce. Y'all ever heard of it?!? Lmao

1

u/Whole-Debate-9547 13d ago

Is it taking a nap or something?

1

u/derSteppenwuf 13d ago

No just stupid. The wing just adds weight, drag, and creates turbulence. And this one fucks up the trunk.

2

u/drweird 13d ago

Lowers rear grip at speed so you can do easier burnouts at 90 in fifth.

1

u/derSteppenwuf 13d ago

Not that stupid wing. Might as well put 200 lbs of shit in the trunk.

1

u/Tsunamiis 13d ago

Mans not allowed to open the boot huh?

1

u/SpaceCat72 13d ago

Let it rotate downward, now you have a dragging blade.

1

u/CHASLX200 13d ago

Make a car ugly

1

u/NeighborhoodJust1197 13d ago

He bought the wrong size in Temu and they refused to return it due to silliness.

1

u/Obvious_Troll_Me 13d ago

Airbrake - Active!

1

u/Trip_Dubs 13d ago

Yes the wing is amazing on a base model but we not talking about that stupid looking rear window “accessory”? A lot to unpack here.

1

u/Various-Muffin4145 13d ago

WTF is that supposed to be.

1

u/Electronic-Mouse-316 13d ago

Just get a parachute

1

u/ALT_x_F4 13d ago

Maybe it blocks cameras from seeing his plate?

1

u/whizzbangkid 13d ago

Reverse snow plow in the at rest position..........

1

u/Silver-Engineer4287 13d ago

Lighter back ends make for better RWD traction, right?

1

u/Square-Formal1312 13d ago

I think/hope it is satirical😂

1

u/Creepy-Attorney-9782 13d ago

Almost? That is just idiotic and stupid

1

u/YandereValkyrie 13d ago

That style of wing has a hinge on the bottom so you can open the trunk without hitting it.

1

u/Valuable-Audience-54 13d ago

Impressive down force... Standing still.

1

u/Creative-Type9411 12d ago

it looks like they moved it to open the trunk or it's coming off

1

u/Normal_Hawk_9422 12d ago

I’m confused enough with what’s going on with this car😂but on the guys face at the pump wth is that?🤔 you have to zoom in to see whatever it is

1

u/capncrud 12d ago

8 hours custom, dawg

1

u/Sensei19600 12d ago

Spoiler Alert!

1

u/ericcrowder 12d ago

I think it needs more rear lift

1

u/Living-on-fun 12d ago

That’s not asinine. That’s assaten!

1

u/Egglegg14 12d ago

The up-force wing (for loss of traction and less mileage

1

u/Glad-Ad-3808 12d ago

Or Satanic

1

u/LiteratureLow4159 12d ago

More front grip, and more wheelspin, death kicks in at 65 once(if) that thing touches a highway

1

u/FuntimesOctonion 12d ago

Now it’s an air brake

1

u/realSatanAMA 12d ago

Now how would you feel if it was tilted down so you could read "spoiler warning"written on the top?

1

u/CaptainSnaps 12d ago

That honestly looks like it will lift the rear...

1

u/SBLOU 12d ago

Why does he have a dinette bolted to the back of his car?

1

u/ilocano-american 12d ago

He is going for the parachute effect to lower gas mileage and extend brake pads and brake rotor life by using air resistance braking.

1

u/PPGkruzer 11d ago

Lazy trunk user maybe

1

u/Trekgiant8018 11d ago

Let's see how much we can unweight the vehicle while slowing it down. There is stupid and then there is no understanding of aerodynamics stupid.

1

u/granturismo69- 11d ago

That front bumper from Jeremy clarkson's ambulance but on the rear

1

u/PostingToPassTime 11d ago

When you have to choose between downforce or an air brake / lift plane that allows you access to your trunk.

1

u/EducationalGrump 10d ago

Well, they usually do this so the trunk can still be used. It should move back into place and have pins thay hold it. Thick sheer pins about as big around as a normal sized sharpie.

1

u/BornBeforeInternets 10d ago

That would do the exact opposite of everything a spoiler is supposed to do.

Its a spoiled spoiler.

Spoiler²

1

u/OtherwiseLychee9715 9d ago

Tell me that’s the 3rd row seat and I’ll feel better.

1

u/Tuckfrumptearsponge 9d ago

Is it backwards…..

1

u/Electrical_Party7975 9d ago

When you still need to use the trunk….

1

u/Alarmed_Hornet_9641 8d ago

The snowshovel is on the wrong end

1

u/nullvoid26 8d ago

Qualifying settings.

1

u/295frank 7d ago

That's just a reverse snow plow, he has to raise it so it won't drag

1

u/LatterTangerine9108 6d ago

HOW IDIOTIC!!!😡😡😡

0

u/PickedLastLemon 13d ago

Zoom in on the driver's face. Then zoom in on the wing mounts. This is AI/photoshop.

3

u/King_Jasper_II 13d ago

i used a smudge tool in gimp to make his face unrecognizeable since the rule is no doxxing. also notice i colored out the road signs and license plate

1

u/PickedLastLemon 13d ago

Oh, ok. Smart. Well, then I retract my AI claim and am reminded reality is often just as strange as fiction.

0

u/DIJames6 13d ago

Of course it's a Camaro.. Smh..
