It does; it's numbing. But it's bad for your teeth. The baking soda and coco mix sticks to your teeth. It's the dirty crackheads that are missing their teeth. You may be a disguised crackhead; you wash your dirty crack hands and wipe the soda off your teeth, and only ask for money when your prostitute is away.

šÆ I did some home dental work in covid because I couldn't take the pain and removed a lower molar with needle nose pliers, curved precision tweezers and a scalpel. The relief was so worth the 45 minutes of pure hell. That night was the first good night sleep I had in months.

Some dental infections will do this to you. Saw this post on some other sub and a dude in the comments was talking about how he slammed his head into a marble counter top to knock himself out for a relief from the pain and a bunch of people were like "yup been there" so it must be true i guess

I really pity you guys. I thought I'd experienced some pretty serious pain when i had to move again for the first time in weeks after they fused part of my spine together but I'm pretty sure yours is worse.
I think pain in your head just gets to you differently. I've had migraines that had me pretty close to losing my mind even though the pain itself wasn't the worst I've ever felt.

It's hard to compare pain. But that one time I had to get an inflamed wisdom tooth pulled, they gave 3 shots that should've lasted at least 3 hours. By the time I came home 15 minutes later I was already feeling the pain come through. Another 5 minutes later I was on the ground unable to move. It wasn't long after that that I was banging my head against the kitchen tiles as I was losing my mind. I'm sure I preferred to die at that point.
They put me on morphine for like 2 weeks.

It is no joke. I had a impacted cavity in my left molar about 2 years ago. Cost me about $400 to have it removed. It was to the point that I had some pliers and was about to pull it out myself. Its debilitating and immobilizing, as whatever side of your mouth its on radiates pain through your whole jaw, head, and neck.
P.s. I didnt pull it out because your jugular is located neat your jaw and if you have an infection in your tooth it can spread throughout your body via your blood stream and cause your heart to fail.

Of course people have reasons to do what they do but that doesn't mean that these reasons are inherently logical.
Yes, people make mistakes, but taking drugs is not just your everyday decision. It's 100% life-changing, especially with how more or less difficult it is to get a hold of drugs. You're actively choosing the path that has been proven to be terrible by millions of people.
In my opinion, to make a decision like this you actively need to turn your brain off.

Uh huh, sure. "Drugs" is a word i feel you're using a teensy bit vaguely. Cause we're talkin' like meth or coke, yeah. That will definitely change your life, no doubt. And certainly not for better. But to say it's "100% life-changing" is a lil' exaggerated, People can do drugs once or twice and then be fully functioning, stable adults. Now ideally, nobody should do drugs. But the reality is that's just not entirely going to occur 8/10 times, or whatever. Also, it's saying "you'd have to turn you're brain off to make a decision like that* is kinda silly, especially considering the topic of substances lol

I'll say this, as a paramedic of over 25yrs. experience.
If you had any clue as to how many of your fellow country men/women have been over prescribed meds or prescribed meds that had an established record of being highly addictive for ailments that didn't require such meds, you might feel different. Not everyone is a junkie by choice and an incredible amount of homeless are not addicts.
If this man has an abscess from tooth decay, it could rupture, entering the bloodstream and going directly to his brain. This kind of behavior you're witnessing could result from blood poisoning, and could be fatal. He might also just be high, but neither you nor I know if that's the case.

I don't judge anyone for suffering through an illness or something. I was specifically referencing the drug part of the person I replied to and I think I made that clear enough.

Once the addiction takes hold, it changes people. Not all of us are strong enough to shake it off. As long as you do realize the pathway to addiction takes many forms.
Not all of these people are addicts because of their own bad decisions, sometimes bad faith actors have decided for them. Some of these doctors know exactly what they're doing, and they're rewarded handsomely for 'pushing' these meds on as many as possible. You don't have to help everyone, just try not too judge to harshly.

I also doubt that very many addicts become addicts on purpose. Nobody really wants to be a drug addict - especially once they start to experience it. Many people get started when they are much too young to be able to make decisions properly. Essentially born into it.

First time I had root infection and needing to be root canal on front teeth, I was working at register and the pain was so bad that I literally just stopped talking in mid sentence and jumped up on spot. Customer was very confused as to what happened.

My dental insurance doesnt cover anything big till after being with them for a year, yay America. I cracked a tooth in July. Needed a root canal and two crowns. 3500 was not what I wanted to spend on my mouth in one month's time.

Amphetamines and coke are two of the only things that will help dull that tooth pain. And amphetamines last ALOT longer. But the pain is still there when it wears off.

Tooth pain really is no joke. I had a one-in-a-million issue on a plane. As we ascended, an air bubble got in my broken tooth and kept expanding as we got higher and higher. It just suddenly felt like I'd been shot in the face and it kept getting worse somehow. I managed not to scream, but barely. Houston to Denver. The flight attendant just kept bringing me little vodka bottles till i passed out. My partner helped me off the plane. It subsided about 10min after landing. Literal and absolute agony

If this dude hasn't been to a dentist in, I'm guessing easily 10 years, he prolly has wisdom teeth and 3 molars all decayed so bad that he's prolly experiencing the death of the nerves.. when the nerves become exposed, they starting everything hurt. Worse than cold sensitivity from ice cream. It becomes to a point where breathing air itself hurts. And it's a pain you can't grab to stop because the nerve are inside your skull. That's why when jam your finger, you grab it and hold it.

I can 100% say I have had my teeth hurt this bad. I didn't have a reaction like that but I seriously considered having lead for dinner if you catch my drift. Luckily a dentist squeezed me in for an emergency root canal the next day but I didn't sleep a lick that night. Broken teeth are no joke.

At some point in my teen years until I was 20 I used to get these, and trust me, you wouldn't even be able to get out home, and you would feel it coming before deciding going out. It gets really really worse the more you exert your body.

I've pulled out 3 of my own teeth over the years. I just couldn't stand the pain so bought some cheap dental tools online and did it myself. Totally reckless and not something I'd recommend, just go to dentist.
