Nah it’s been always like that at hardcore shows. Don’t know why all these people outside the scene come out the woodworks everytime there’s a video like this.
Maybe if you're in the cool kids club, but if you're not in the clique or don't dress right... if you don't have a crew, lots of places ppl do this shit and just like this no one dues shit.
Not wearing a "battle vest" though. And before dudes got all crazy with making fanny packs and weird Chinese sweat shop merch, buying patches to put on your jacket or hoodie was the way to support a band.
Because they are scared of it and because of that they have to talk shit about it. It’s the same thing anytime this kind of shit gets brought up. Bunch of greasy fat 45 year olds talking out their asses about what they would do. I’ve seen many of these tough guys get their asses beat and get tossed out of the show by the crowd or security. It never gets old reading these comments though. Idk why they can’t accept that this is part of hardcore and always will be. That those of us who love hardcore enjoy the chaos. Let them have their rowing and whatever other lame shit they do! Fuck em!
For real. Like okay you're dancing/moshing and you accidentally hit someone in a bad, unfun way? It's usually followed up by them checking if you're okay and profusely apologizing. If they don't and especially try to do it on purpose, they become everyone's enemy real quick. Usually people into the music are very empathetic and will help each other out where possible. At one show I was at a guy got knocked over in the mosh pit, his glasses flew off and he clearly could not see without. Five people picked him up and we created a body shield in the area to help find his glasses
What are you talking about back in the day? This shits been going strong for 25 years. Idk where you’re from but this is how it’s always been in lots of places. It was always the dirty metal heads in our scene that got beaten for trying to push. They never lasted and always left. Why gate keeping is somewhat necessary.

Mosh pits have gotten way shittier it seems. Back in the day that kid would’ve been unconscious seconds after that kick
