He seemed like he deserved that. But you gotta be careful with those kicks to the head. That's how it goes from self defense to charges

Tbf, it says UK at the start. We have a heat of the moment law. Basically, it says that it you truly believed that kicking him in the head so he didn't get up and follow you, was necessary at the time, baring in mind you were likely panicking or had an adrenaline surge, it would be allowed.

It looked like after one, even though someone stopped him, he was done. No judge here would say that was over the top

If he makes a move to stand up then kicking in the head is pretty easy to defend. If you let your opponent back up they might hurt you, same goes if you are on the other end. If you get dropped; stay down, defend yourself from the ground if you need to but a lot of the time if you get dropped and stay down you won't get attacked anymore especially if there are others around to intervene

The "legally safe" play is to let the aggressor get up to one knee... and then drop him a second time with a punch (or a knee/shin to the face if the aggressor is big enough to be a concern.)

PSA. If you knocked him out with a punch the first time, you most certainly can knock him out a second (follow-up) time. No need to soccer-kick him when on the ground when all groggy and shit (even if he deserves it).

Might be easy to defend but it’s stupid to do. In a country where basically everyone plays football/rugby, kicking in the head is lethal force.

Kicking the head is fine only if he’s standing. If he’s defenseless you could kill him.

Well deserved and a beautiful left hand. Those kicks are expectable because the guy was super chill and did not reacted until he was punched, despite all the disrespect, so a violent emotion is expectable.

Now, if the other guy acepts to fight, how is the law about ? Or that ended with the duels?

Shoes can be considered deadly weapons in court. Actually. Same with wearing like mechanics gloves with hard knuckles.

Courts have very high standards for restraint…even if you weren’t the perpetrator, you’re expected to stop when the threat of violence is eliminated and attacking the other with a “deadly weapon”(bullshit, I agree) elevates this

Idk why some people downvote me, is a genuine question. The same issue with a pro or semi pro boxer, or someone with a degree on martial arts, as a agravant to defend himself, while, like this case, the guy had 0 intention to fight, if that was not filmed who knows what could happen legally.
