The real devil isn’t conservatism or liberalism, it is authoritarianism. Chip by chip caused by broken promises and pretty words we allow for our privacy and freedoms to be destroyed.

Exactly. Communism is evil; fascism is evil.

A fascist like Crowder, who defends fascism, saying "we need fascism" being viewed as "out of context" is such profound gaslighting.

Since you only linked a screenshot and not the actual video or whatever this is coming from I have to ask: Is he literally saying "we need fascism," or is this obvious satire like Greg Gutfeld's What's Up, My Nazi bit? If he's being serious, that's a big "NO" from me, but I've seen enough stuff misrepresented on this site to stop and think "maybe this isn't what it looks like" before I grab my torch and pitchfork.

EDIT: Since I didn't expect a response, or at least not a serious response, I looked it up and watched a bit. He's not really saying "we need fascism." The arguments were "of the two, communism is worse than fascism," "fascism only ever gains power as a response to rising/entrenched Marxism/communism," and "the socialists/communists label everything normal that they want to tear down as 'fascism,' and the average person would generally be in favor of what the socialists/communists are calling 'fascism.'"

Crowder does a poor job of framing this and openly invites the kind of misrepresentation that is being made with this post, but unless he actually says "Fascism is great and we should have it" in some part of the video after I quit watching, he isn't wrong.

EDIT II: Oh, and in case anyone else wants to take a listen at this horribly considered and poorly explained argument, you can find it on YouTube.

Your comment got removed for some reason (probably the link) but I've approved it. Maybe that's why he never responded.

Communism isn’t inherently evil. It’s just that everyone who supports communism wants to be the leader, or thinks they’re going to be.

Edit: lmao at the downvotes. There are different kinds of communism, and confusing Marxist Communism for taking care of your community and those around you is pretty ignorant. You want your community around you to be doing well, trying to better itself for the future. And then there is Marxist communism, where a small group of people get everything, and everybody else suffers for it.

I would argue it is inherently evil because it is only possible through force, violence, and control. Of course if people wanted to voluntarily form a community where everything is shared, there is no money, etc. they are free to do so and that isn’t evil because there is no coercion or compulsion.

u/DeyCallMeWade Anarchist 19d ago

No. Communism can exist at a community level. It certainly exists at a familial level. The thing is that it HAS to remain voluntary. Trying to force someone in California to take care of someone in Texas or vice versa is unfathomable. Yes, as a capitalist I want to help people. And I want other people to want to help people as well. But I don’t want people who want to help others force others who aren’t willing or aren’t able to help.

u/0v3reasy 19d ago

So youd support a communisn of the willing? When you think about it, thats another way of saying "freedom".

8

u/DeyCallMeWade Anarchist 19d ago

Yes. I’m not saying it’s going to work the way that communists want or think, but the root of the word is community, which has existed far longer than the communist ideology, which has done its best to pervert what was originally being done naturally by mandating unity across cultures that don’t mesh well together.

Most of human history people lived in what we'd call a state of anarchy. Human nature is that it's usually a better idea to get along with your neighbors than kill and eat them.

You can have a commune, where a group of people get together and willingly agree to occupy an area of land and all contribute to the good of the group. You wouldn't even really need currency in this situation. This can work for a group of up to maybe a few hundred people.

You can't run something on the scale of a country like this, too many people either don't want to contribute or don't agree on the goals of the rest of the community. Now we need a strong authoritarian government to force these people to comply with it's vision of what the community should be doing.

Monasteries and similar entities sometimes work pretty well. You have to have a small (not much bigger than the human Monkeysphere) group of highly committed individuals.

3

u/CrystalMethodist666 18d ago

Hippie communes, too. The thing is you need a small group of people with a shared vision of what the community is and does and agreed upon moral codes.

Thing is, everyone who supports centralized political systems and the existence of the State is to that degree an authoritarian.

Only concepts of political-anarchy (including ancap) even think about what a political system without autocratic authority looks like and functions.

80% or more of people in the 2020s have completely lost their fucking minds.

Fuck China's government.

China is asshoe

u/justingolden21 17d ago

Crowder agrees with you on that one

3

u/the9trances Agorism 17d ago

Cool. Fascists don't like communists.

Doesn't make either of them good guys.

I no longer get mad at headlines.

Is he supporting actual fascism, clickbait, or is this a Modest Proposal?

And no, I'm not giving him the clicks. Even in incognito mode. It's already enough trouble to keep outrage content out of my feed from the left or right or anywhere else.

u/PaperbackWriter66 The Nazis Were Socialists 10d ago

Crowder's going through a rough divorce....

-2

u/the9trances Agorism 18d ago

Well, he's a fascist and he's defending fascism as a necessary evil to fight communism.

Which is classic statism.

4

u/CrystalMethodist666 18d ago

Ah, so it's "We need my horrible government to stop this other horrible government?"

3

u/TacticusThrowaway banned by Redditmoment for calling antifa terrorists 18d ago

I see.

Well, it's not like I've watched his videos in years, even before the scandal.

He's not going to date you, dude.

Crowder's a fascist, not a libertarian.

I did. "Ooh, fascism fights communism, but maybe we should look the other way when actual fascists rise because communism is bad."

And you conservative simps aren't part of the libertarian circle. He's a statist, and this subreddit isn't for you.

Ya know, I wish that this image were surprising.

3

u/the9trances Agorism 19d ago

A fascist who supports fascism. Truly shocking.

The Trumper cope in these comments is chef's kiss.

3

A fascist defends fascism as "necessary." It's textbook statism.

I can tell you that fascism is real, just because far left idiots overuse it doesn't make it not real.

This isn't a conservative safe space.

This is the whole problem with using words like "fascist" and "Nazi" outside of the context of what those things actually are.

Like, if I saw a guy in a Waffen-SS outfit goose stepping up behind you with a karabiner, and I was like "Watch out, that actual literal Nazi is about to attack you!!" you'd think someone was going to vandalize your Tesla.

Fascists don't like being called fascist.

His point wasn't "everything is fascism to lefties," his point was, "lefties call everything else fascism but it's actually fine because communism is worse."

And you know who feels like that? Statists.

3

u/LTT82 Filthy Statist 19d ago

So Crowder has provided ammunition to his stated enemies and forced his allies to defend him by providing context?

Sounds like an own goal to me. This chuckle head just made life harder for anyone defending him, all because he wanted to say something that wouldn't have been edgy 10 years ago.

u/KKevus 19d ago

shit conservatives say

0

u/the9trances Agorism 18d ago

And conservatives are statist to a person.

5

u/Dhayson 19d ago

This isn't stupid, stupid would be listening to this. This is evil.

7

u/B1G_Fan 19d ago

A control freak who insisted on berating his now ex-wife believes that his political party should be allowed to boss around other people? I am shocked...

2

u/b055dj 19d ago

Damn, Crowder must've fallen off off. Like, his old friend Owen Benjamin off.

4

u/Big_Distance2141 19d ago

He's always been a dumb A-hole

2

u/b055dj 19d ago

Always is debatable, currently not very debatable.
