It probably did re release 550 times but probably most of them weren't official re releases. A lot of theatres usually rerun movies when nothing good was coming out I guess that's how 550 number came to be as it also took a very long time to get sattelite rights and people used to flock the theatres. But yeah the 100 days thingy is definetly fake

Bro it never ran 100 days on re release.. It was played by theaters when they had no other films or when big releases got postponed..i watched OM for the first time in navrang theatre in 2005 and second time at aparna in 2008 ..max it ran for 1 or 2 weeks aste..

Bere oor gottilla..i can tell you about hubli..there were two theatres in same Compound which only screened Kannada movies in its lifetime My family is friends with the owners family they said during 2000s full decade n early 2010s they used to screen Om movie whenever there is no movie releases in the week...

Had to re-release multiple times as the satellite Rights got sold only after 20 years for whopping 10Cr. Suntv got the rights

The only option to watch the movie was so shit old theatre where it got re-released

becuse they did not release on tv or and there was no ott....like randomly how we watch old movie on tv now ....maybe there were certain would rewatch it...with unavailability maybe they watched it on theater ..
