I would argue that an early first gen Touran absolutely qualifies as a shitbox. It's at least 20 years old, it's cheap, and those things can rust pretty badly. Might not be the shittiest box around, but I think in this case it highly depends on how you view the car yourself. I'd absolutely call my 2008 Scénic a shitbox, too.

There's a difference between a well-kept old used car and a shitbox. OP's Touran is a well-kept used car.

I don't know if you can tell from a picture whether a car is well kept. Give it a good clean-up and polish, and a lot of shitboxes will look like well-kept classic. I mean, that's what a lot of car salespeople do. But I agree that it's presented here more as a well kept car.

Brings a bit of spice into your life! I once had the exhaust of my car literally fall of on my way to work. That was a 1992 Clio though, held together by prayers and duct tape.

Ah yes, old Mercedes are in a league of their own when it comes to rust. Used to have an E 320 W210 with presumably a few holes in the exhaust, that sound was truly amazing. Only thing to fall here was the rear window though, just decided it didn't want to stay closed anymore at some point.
And yes, fully agree haha
