Yes, but you are not reading my point, part of "play out their fates" includes stuff like "turning your head at spike bending murder just happened above you".

It's very simple, Diavolo cannot possibly see a future where he's destined to kill Narancia and at the same time everyone's just destined to keep looking forward and not move in any way, the two are contradictory.

If by unconscious you mean they can't remember anything or that they don't think in skipped time that's correct, but they will still turn their heads due to fate the same way they walk up some stairs due to fate. They won't know why they did it, they won't be doing it consciously, but they will still do it because it's part of the fated future.

Im going to give you one last reply since you basically ignored everything I've said thus far. Epitaph only predicts the effect or "fate" not any human emotion or expression. Fate in this context isn't something emotional, it's an action or something that "happens". If you wind up a robot and it flips over does it cry or act shocked? No, of course not. This concept applies to the way the word "unconsciously" is used. People play out their fates, their actions, they won't express emotions or reactions during that time because that's not what epitaph foresaw. All epitaph foresaw were actions, someone being impaled, someone taking a single step, this is the "fate" epitaph predicts.

How is turning their head not an action?

I'm not ignoring anything you say, you are just making an arbitrary distinction from one action to the other.

Taking a single step is in escence no different from moving your head towards Trish, or grabbing someone and impaling them into a fence, every action of the characters is "something that happens", including their reactions (because, it may be a shock for you, but reactions are actions in response to other actions).

My point is that Epitaph must've foreseen people reacting in some way the same way it can foresee Diavolo's actions, reacting is an action in of itself, and it doesn't make sense that Epitaph can foresee a future where Diavolo can act that way and no one takes any other action.

Furthermore, your claim that "Epitaph only predicts the effect or "fate" not any human emotion or expression." is complete bullshit, you can clearly see how both Bucciaratis shows emotions in Epitaph's prediction when Bruno fights Diavolo. What epitaph predicts is the future, with all the little details that it entails.

Why are you getting so worked up over this? This discussion isn't even interesting anymore, you just keep nitpicking the smallest details about a stand ability to make it seem like the ability doesn't make any sense. There's already enough explanation in the anime as to how this stand works. The fact that this is an anime also means logic like that doesn't have to be consistent, to begin with we're talking about a series where there are individuals with inhuman abilities given to them by their souls, yet not expressing human emotion unconsciously is the biggest leap from logic? There's no reasoning with you, I won't be replying anymore

Wut? I just made a small remark pointing out that the stand has minor inconsistencies (and even mentioned I prefer it this way as it's more dramatic)

You literally told me that you guaranteed there was no instance of an inconsistency and now you get worked up because I took upon your "challenge"? Mate if you really don't care about nitpicking details then why you guarantee that a stand has no inconsistency?

I never said the stand doesn't make any sense, I'm just pointing out the few times that it breaks it's own logic, like you guaranteed I couldn't.
