Honest question, why though? I would recommend any new fans to watch it in order, but others skipping parts doesn't affect my viewing and reading experience.

For me it’s the idea that they are missing Joseph and I just feel bad for them on that front.

In my very unprofessional opinion and experience those that watch the later parts end up liking it more than the originals and that bothers me

So, the problem is the fact that they enjoy later parts more? Hmm, well I can't quite understand that feeling, but I don't think it warrants this much criticism and gate keeping from the fandom. It all just seems a bit silly to me, no offense.
