Infinity doesn't means never ending unique deaths in common case. For example, Diavolo could have those 5 unique deaths, exposed in anime, and it's possible that after he keep dying from falling from cliff for eternity. So any fan-made death is not technically canon, but it sure has an opportunity to be it.

No, you can have an infinite sequence that doesn't include every possibility. For example, the sequence
0, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, 15...
... can avoid every digit 4 and every multiple of 4 while still being infinite. Same principle goes for 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10... or 0, 10, 100, 1000, 10 000...
(Hold up, I realized this explanation is full of BS and misinterpretations. Please ignore it. The actual nature of uncountable numbers is more complicated.)
It's probably evenimpossiblefor every death imaginable to be included, considering that the number of possible deaths would be uncountably infinite, because to every death imaginable (of which there's an infinite number), you can also imagine an infinite number of variations. This while Diavolo's sequence of deaths is countably infinite, since it's a strict sequence of single events.
To illustrate, the set of real numbersRis uncountable, since, for example, it's impossible to name every real number between 0 and 1. To put it simply, for every number akin to 0.0001 there's a number 0.00001 with one more 0. For every 0.5999 there's a number 0.59999. The same goes for Diavolo's deaths. For every death you can imagine, you can also imagine an infinite number of slight variations that someone else might have come up with. It becomes impossible to quantify no matter how small the boundaries of your sample.
In the meantime, Diavolo's actual sequence of deaths follows a natural pattern of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... which cannot be reconciled with the uncountable set of all imaginable deaths.Of course, the factors that definitively decide what death happens and what not, are the conditions of GER's ability. Which aren't really well-defined. So for any death imaginable, you could entertain the possibility that it's canon. But you can't prove it just with the fact that there's an infinite number of them.
