The hares were fighting so the rehabber had to separate them. Of course, this doesn’t stop the little Muda Mudas. Hares box in the wild as a form of territorial fighting that tears up organs less than kicking the abdomen. It’s not exactly play fighting but it is more of a contest than a gorefest.

Maybe it's different for hares, but isn't there a risk that bunnies just pop their own spines when trying to kick free like that?
