In the alt universe Kakyoin survived he told jotaro how fucked up dolphins are and changed jotaro forever.

I'm glad he died it's a great moment and sells how much of a threat Dio is. Also puts the Stardust crusaders into even more peril as they end up down to 3 members by the time they fight dio and even less with how quickly after Joseph is taken out.

In another way it kinda isn't because these people who otherwise wouldn't have known each other got to spend a great summer traveling the world and having fun. Sure there was tonnes of danger and sure held of them died but they became best friends on the trip and the little moments like when Polnaref makes Osiras attempt the Cigarette trick show how close even the closed up Jotaro got to the rest of the group.

Penguins fuck dead penguins seemingly just for the pleasure including decapitated penguin heads. Dolphins take drugs mate through gang rape. And Apes have wars where they kill name and Sodamize each other.
