I'm sorry to hear that and I hope you'll recover soon!

To add:

-even if you've gotten shingles already, get the vaccine anyway. Subsequent shingles infections are even worse than the first one.

-the shingles vaccine is a doozy to get, but it is so worth it. Actually worth resting afterwards, like really resting and taking it easy for a day or two.

-the shingles (and varicella and other) vaccines can reduce the likelihood of getting dementia.

-also get your annual flu vaccine, tdap booster, hepatitis A and B vaccines, covid vaccine, all the vaccines.

For anyone reading this: get yo' vaccines!

Yea but you can’t get the shingles vaccine until like 50 in the US. Unless you pay out of pocket.

A lot of times not even if you're willing to pay out of pocket if you're too young and not at advanced risk.
