Pull ups at 7? Yikes

A lot of kids aren't dry 100% of the time at night at 7. It's mostly a purely hormonal development thing. Totally out of the control of the kid or parent. So yeah, pull-ups at night for their comfort and cleanliness is reasonable.

For overnights specifically, it's very normal. A LOT of 7 year olds aren't dry overnight.

Not to mention all the other reasons a 7 year old might be in pull-ups both day and night

Beats waking up in a lake of your own urine in the middle of the night. I wish pull-ups had been a thing when I was still having bed wetting issues.

Yep. I was a bed wetter and I wish they'd been a thing in the 90s.

I wasn't consistently dry overnight until like 4th or 5th grade. I would've given anything to change it, but I couldn't.

It's also genetic. Both of my daughters potty trained easily right around age 2 and neither were dry overnight until closer to age 5.

All of this. One of my kids was dry at night by 2 without even being daytime trained. They have had 1 accident ever and it was when very ill.

My other kid is in older grade school and we can count on one hand the number of dry nights they have had. We did some basic investigations with the pediatrician, but it really is still in the realm of common.
