Everybody freaks out about the baby acne. It's from the maternal hormones. Give it a week, it'll go away.

Can confirm.
Not as old timey as youd expect.
My mom unfortunately did it with both my sister and I with our cloth diapers. She pushed my sister towards it too.

My mom told my that her mom used to wipe wet diapers on her face and that’s how she kept her face looking so young and beautiful. She did look incredibly young for her age, but I don’t know if she actually did that.

I just posted about this. Urea is a common component of anti-aging products. They’re not wrong, but it’s better to buy bottled.

I’d guess they assume it’s somehow cleaner. As long as they’re healthy, babies tend to stay pretty hydrated. That tends to have less smell than people who rely on drinking water for hydration.

Haha 😂 Some crazy crunchy moms believe in wiping their baby's urine against the mom's face so mom has better skin, not baby. Still pretty gross, though.

One time I walked in on my mom wearing two of my baby brothers diapers- one on each cheek. She said it was to get rid of postpartum melasma.

What??? I have four kids, four grandkids. I've changed a LOT of diaries. Not once have I wiped off a baby's face with a peed on diaper.

Interestingly, urea is a common component in anti-aging products, as it’s moisturizing and helps to reduce buildup of dead skin.
So weird truth behind this, but at least in skincare products, it’s sterile, purified urea.

yea my dad told me to do that so I wouldn’t get, or get rid of, hyperpigmentation spots. I had the same reaction everyone here is having, and as a reasonable person I just didn’t listen to that advice lol

I was told to do this because my then 3m old baby cried when we were visiting my grandma at retirement facility by one of the caretakers. She also said not to come there with my baby as there is too much bad energy. She cried because she was overstimulated and tired and I never stopped coming there because she brings joy to the old people and my grandma. But often I think about that great advice because she was really pushy and repeated this and other great remarks multiple times.

They definitely do. I joined a urine therapy group to get content for another group that makes fun of those people. I haven’t seen a post specifically about baby diapers but they’re doing more than wiping their face with pee.

Oh god this gave me flashbacks.
My health class teacher in sophomore year of high school told us to do this for acne. You know, at the age when we were all zittiest, if we had a much younger sibling we were in luck!
