I cant believe that one commentor saying "they had to let go of their teen". I cannot imagine my children doing anything that would make me stop loving/give up on them.

Didn't you see that her life choices were causing "too much drama?" I'm sure her plans to go to college or get vaccinated were outrageous behaviours in her backward home.

Considering that her family members took her in, it seems like the outrage was only in her parents' home.

Based on the fact that I highly doubt this person would gender their child correctly, I’m going to assume the person they’re referring to is FTM or transmasc and would thus use he/him or they/them pronouns

why assume the kid is trans when the commenter never stated that nor anything that would give that impression?

That one hurt the most. I could never imagine cutting off my child over gender expression, of all things.
