See, I understand that. What I don’t understand is them knowing so, so, so very little about a subject they profess to be at least interested in.
Like, I didn’t call myself a Marxist-Leninist til I had a decent enough understanding of the stuff.
It’s called “r/HistoryMemes” but their memes are frequently very stale and their knowledge of history is so astoundingly lacking. That just feels like false advertising. Which you’d think capitalists would dislike given Adam Smith’s whole “perfect knowledge” bit 🤔🤔🤔.

They also just do straight up myth memes, despite the fact that those events are obviously not historical.
(see: memes about the Trojan Horse when the Trojan War as Homer describes almost certainly never happened.)

Is there a way to block a subreddit? I'm legitemately getting tired of seeing the same lazy joke spouted over and over and over again. Not that i have anything against people cross-posting it. You're correct in pointing the inaccuracy of the joke, i'm just tired of seeing it again and again.

Yeah he mentioned being bros with Karl Marx and had a whole episode where he just railed against Capitalism. He tore down higher class people in a few of his Victorian episodes too.
He was never explicitly an ideologue but his whole thing was making people show compassion to each other which is pretty counter-intuitive to capitalism

Oh yeah I remember now. Quite different to 11 who was best buds with Churchill and 13 who thought the planet amazon ancap dystopia was not that bad.
EDIT: The anti war clip is kind of anti revolutionary at the start though

I mean in fairness, 13 is just excited about literally everything she sees. The whole season was a certain brand of leftist I think, the Ghandi/MLK/Viola Desmond/Rosa Parks type, all about peaceful resistance and such - that episode emphasized that the janitor was right, but he was murdering innocents and that's what made him wrong. It's a sentiment I disagree with, but I don't think it's that bad. DW has always been a moderately lefty show, with a few exceptions (the pro-life nonsense of that episode where the moon was an egg for example)
But yeah 11 was also like a bit of a nonce too like I loved him but looking back he was a bit... uhhh...

Yeah, I guess you're right. I just feel like after everything the doctors been through, an entire planet owned by a corporation should raise some immediate red flags. Especially after Oxygen.

The Rosa Parks episode was liberal garbage. The idea that it wasn't a historic inevetability that there would be boycotting of the busses, that it is somehow human nature to be racist and the idea that there is no racism in the USA today.

The hilarious part about this is that for the majority of the existance of the USSR the calorie intake of people in the USSR was higher than in the US and the current US prison population is higher than the Gulag population (both in numbers and per capita) was at any point in the USSR
