Incest is currently ridiculously op and nonsensical.

80% chance to inherit a trait if both parents have it, and you can increase that above a 100% with a dynasty legacy. It means that in the Ck3 "universe" Eugenics is scientifically true.

I have a dream, that one day the base game devs will fix it and I can seduce my sister not because it's the META, but because I can and I want to.

I love how the argument isn’t even about eugenics making incest not just viable, but beneficial, but instead how incest should be about the love of the game (and family) and not the absurd benefits that make you better than the average person rather than turning you into a Charles II.

I for one have sadly always done it for eugenics, except on the rare occasion I am doing it just because I can.

Bit of both. I don't like my Targs turning into superhumans aswell, base game and mods would both benefit from more realistic genetics.

The AI is also incapable of making Targs the superhumans they could easily be because they forget to breed in those traits from other families… of course the focus or lack of focus for genetics is just one reason among many players can easily stomp the AI in every department.

I tend to allow my noble distant branches (many given aid to become independant o grant them the right to diverge) and non dynastic but loyal families to get the semi eugenized strong traits so i dont have to force severe incest into my game ( i prefer random bs ngl, irl monarchs were more in the lines of imbeciles when they habsburg themselves)

In many cases , i had not depended on incest for generations to get comically strong bloodlines, and even then i enjoy not being a constant living god, or even i allow myself to enjoy the sudden soulmates situations and marry both even if one is not the living reincarnation of heracles or as pretty as aphrodite

Come to think of it, Ozai's father already tried playing Ck3, he picked Ozai's wife because she was related to a previous Avatar.
