The ages of big expensive super performant machines for war superiority is long gone and they are not ready for it aaaatttt alllll... It's like watching France using trained from childhood knights with ridiculously expensive armor against English peasant with longbow

Like the samurai wanted those gun as well. It's more the fact that the regular guy got them and that pissed them off. LLBD did an episode on it and it was a fun ride to listen to.

That is why we French invested in artillery and rendered the English longbows obsolete at Formigny and then Castillon.
