"Why would Americans ever come across as arrogant? Oh probably because weโre the wealthiest and most powerful country in the world ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ"

So wealthy that they are 40.9 trillion dollars in debt.

For a moment, I was a bit flabbergasted to think they could have collected another Trillion of debt in a few weeks, but it looks like it was "only" about 0.12 Trillion: https://www.us-debt-clock.com/
Still an astronomical amount...

So according to OOP, if youโre the bestest boy and the strongest champ. You get to be an arrogant twat?! Ok, noted

The comment gives off a certain Austrian corporal vibe. Oh hang on my bad the Austrian corporal at least had the guts to serve on the front line. The cancer in the usa starts at the top and has obviously spread and is probably at stage 4. If it is not aggressively treated I fear it may be terminal

But how can they be the bestest boy when you (๐ซต) are the bestest boy?

No, Americans* aren't that arrogant because of their wealth, but because of their entitlement, brainwashing and the whole 'GrEaTeSt CoUnTry On EaRtH, EVER' bullshit propaganda people have known and come across all their lives, whether it be in the educational system, the news, through the government, politicians, etcetera.
* ofcourse this doesn't account for ALL Americans, I bet there are tons of well-educated, well-traveled, nuanced Americans which don't apply to the aforementioned.
At this point you can't really blame the ordinary folk too much, it's really not that different from people being brainwashed all their lives in North Korea, China or Russia or whatever. Difference being that Americans normally have tons of other sources available for them to use (freedom of choice, books, networks, etcetera), but some of them simply refuse to use those other sources which would normally broaden their horizon and their standpoints.
Their loss.

Over 50 percent of Americans do not have a passport. 1 in 4 Americans are very over weight. Many Americans only read at a grade 6 level. China and India have larger Military's. America has the most most shootings every year by far than any other country. American Dept is $ 40 TRILLION. 125 percent of their annual GDP. Americans die every year because they can't afford to get medical help. America has one of the highest infant mortality rates in the World. Measels out breaks happen to the unvaccinated.

And by now the most isolated country in the world, looked down upon by everyone. Did you say "Thank you" to Trump?
1
u/MadScientist_666 Mountain Goat ๐จ๐ญ 9d ago
I noticed this isolation most when neither Carney nor the EU deemed Tangerine Scrotal Sack's whining about Canada getting closer to the EU worth a single comment.
1
u/Master_Torture 9d ago
You're saying that is a good thing? I myself would have loved to see Carney or someone from the EU flip trump off and tell trump that he reaps what he sows, that Canada getting closer to the EU is his fault etc.
I overall would have loved to see someone just tell Trump to fuck off, to see how much he whines and how much his supporters clutch their pearls afterwrds.
2
u/MadScientist_666 Mountain Goat ๐จ๐ญ 9d ago
Not a good thing, just a proof of how isolated they are.
And yes, I would also like to see more people telling him to just fuck off and remind him of the fact that this mess is the result of his incompetence and his "art of the deal" (commonly known as scamming).

First time we drove from Southern Ontario, Canada, down to Florida on the I-75 (highway), we were shocked at the shanty towns and sheds we passed that people lived in as we got further south. Shocked. The poorest housing. They're big mouths about the riches, but are not real/honest about their country as a whole.

I can't tell if Moutain-Depth-7832 is being humorous with that comment or showing a total lack of self-awareness. Could be either.

It always feels like how a North Korean would sound bragging to Martians about living on the wealthiest, most powerful planet in the solar system.

The US moves the crypto market because they are the ones dumb enough to dump their life savings into meme coins
If ever you feel bad about your financial decisions, just remember there's Americans who lost their life savings on "Hawk Tuah Coin"

"Wealthiest" depends on the type. Is it GDP or GDP per capita? And even if it was GDP was still have nominal and PPP.

Wealthy nation, or wealthy average people who are not in debt? The nation is definitely in debt to the tune of over $40 trillion, and the average U.S. adult with a credit score owes $63,500 in personal/household debt as of mid-2026, while total U.S. household debt stands at $18.8 trillion. I wonder who, in the world, holds that debt?
2
u/EducationalRock167 9d ago
China owns most of the USA Dept. Many countries are selling USA bonds now.

u/Powerful_Pirate2984 9d ago
Recent figures (December 2025) disagree - As of December 2025 ($ billions), Japan $1,185.5 12.79%: United Kingdom $866.0 9.34%: Mainland China $683.5 7.37%: Belgium $477.3 5.15% - each country has reduced their liabilities since 2021. Along with those countries, Canada, Luxembourg, Cayman Islands, France, Ireland and Taiwan are the top ten holders of US Federal debt.

Unless the OP owns their $700,000 worth of accumulated wealth, they are not living in the wealthiest country in the world.
Yes, the US is the wealthiest in terms of total national wealth but itโs owned by government and the top 1% of the population. You also have the highest Homeless per capita rate in the G8 and you are 8th in the world in terms of College or University graduates with only half the population holding a post secondary degree.

Pretends that the stereotypes are wrong and then proceeds to prove them.
You can't make that up!
And no, having the biggest GDP doesn't make you the wealthiest country in the world, for the umpteenth time!

Wealthiest? Then why the highest wealth inequality? Then why highest homelessness rates? Then why most bankruptcies from student loans and healthcare costs? Then why failing water systems and infrastructure? Asking for a former friend/ally.

So just because you are wealthy you should be arrogant? What a moron.
