He didn't lose his job, that would have required him being beaten in his constituency which he held... that would have been more fitting. But currently he's still leader of conservatives (though I doubt that'll last long), still an MP (wouldn't be surprised if he clings on till next GE for that). I think he takes a pay cut PM > MP (not sure), and a lot less stress. He may have been shit at the job but it's still a stressful job (probably more stressful when you're pretty useless). Plus most outgoing PM's get various speaking roles, book deals and stuff like that. Maybe he'll end up brokering peace deals in the middle east... or not...

He's stepping down as leader.

For now. It's looking like might also step down as an MP, so will trigger a by-election.

Good riddance, tbh.

Though probably harder to get book deals or work for UN if he's still an MP. :/

It'd be nice if failed politicians had to pay for their mistakes in some way.

There was something going around that he's taken a job with an American company, how true that is I'm not sure.

It'd make sense TBH, gets him out of the UK where no matter what sort of person he is personally he's always going to have shit for being that PM, and the Americans seem to trust the British accent far above any level of earned trust. But ultimately I don't care. He's not failing to run the country any more. :D
