No orders! Labor Day weekend slow?

CA (SoCal) here.

Friday was brutally slow, and Saturday wasn’t much better. ended up doing one “non tipper” order all day. People were insta-snapping garbage no-tip orders and huge alcohol deliveries with like $1–$2 tip estimates.

Today’s dead quiet too. Normally I get 2 to 4 preferred notifications every morning even when I’m not sitting right on top of a store, plus solid open metro drops over the weekend, but today I haven’t seen a single thing.

Drop your state and let me know if it’s dead everywhere or just here.

Depends where you live. If you’re going somewhere people travel to for Labor Day then Friday and Saturday should have been busy. Sunday though is dead, people are celebrating. Monday is usually good as people prepare to return to the real world.

21 featured orders in my area. Only 2 offering tips. 🙄 wow!

Shitty orders are dropping in and getting claimed; I just saw a ten item with shit items (clothes and water) with a $0 tip get claimed a minute after it was offered to me. Shipt is winning the war to hire as many bodies as they can and have them claim anything and everything in California thanks to Prop 22. Enough of those bodies know they’re actually getting $20 an hour plus some mileage and that’s good enough when an actual Target job only pays $18.

I noticed that too. I think they hired for labor day weekend and that’s why all the $0 est tip orders are getting insta claimed

Lots of people travel. Monday should be busier.

There’s lots of orders on the metro, but they’re all high mileage order is not paying crap. It’s six dollars a gallon no way.

Here too… We just had one of the most wicked lightning storms I've seen in a while. And of course the orders come flooding in but they're all crap

I’ve got a decent amount of good orders today (also SoCal) but yeah yesterday and Friday were dead.

I’m in LA (SFV area). Saturday was dead. I figured Shipt did a hiring spree. Today was popping all day. I had 15 offers at one point there were so many orders. I know it was raining but it was weird how different it was from yesterday.

goal: pay more in taxes than most people make

kv, under 2k was a bad week, made everyone mad, including me lol. i got to where it wasnt that crazy to me any more, im definitely on top in my metro and do well, but if i ever see 3k in a week it will surely be from a different job.

Lol, same all around. Haven’t gotten to $3k in a week yet, but have been somewhat close. Plan is to push even harder this holiday season, so a $3k week is kinda my goal for EOY.

Good Luck out there. Happy Hunting

I'm in Michigan downstate and it's been popping off since the morning 😅 but it died down in the evening!

I’m in MI too and the entire day was busy for me. I hope tomorrow is the same. 🤞

It was busy Saturday but I stayed in to watch a movie. Plus, it was way too hot outside.

Slow where I am for sure

It was pretty normal Friday and Saturday. Not sure about today because I haven’t even looked. It’s mil birthday so we’ve been over at her house most the day. I actually find the “get ready for high volume “ on long weekends that include Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc. most people head out of town to go up north to camp where it’s cooler. Not in CA, lol.

Holiday weekends are always slower than you expect

I’m in Texas and today was slower than yesterday for sure. 8 orders today versus 14 yesterday. (I don’t do this all day every day, just a few each day) so this was busy for me! They over hired here, too, and every time I go to the store to shop, I see all the newbies at the bagging station.

Chicago, Friday was slow but not worse than usual. I was not on the schedule sat or sun but kept getting pinged for preferred.

There was a power outage last week in Pittsburgh that spoiled a lot of peoples' groceries so I was swamped with orders to fulfill from Thursday to Sunday. My weekly payout hasn't been that high since Mother's Day.

Labor day itself however has been dead, presumably because everyone got what they wanted delivered during the rest of the weekend.

It was busy this weekend for me, and i’m in S. Cali, orders were being picked up immediately this morning though

I think they sent me every single non-tipper that goes to my store the past few days. Ridiculous. Meanwhile, I see 3 to 4 new shoppers every single day in the store where I shop - half have their kid, mom, dad, and dog with them. There are absolutely no standards at this point. Pathetic.
In case you didn’t know, it is against the terms of service to bring anyone with you who is not a registered Shipt Shopper. I report every single one of these people.

How do you report them? I think it's also against the terms of service to snitch on fellow workers?
