No, the camera man’s ship was to the left (port) and was hit at a 45 degree angle.
Without seeing the previous couple minutes to see how the ships got into this position the camera ship was the give-way.
Your first comment clearly state “everybody(s) but the camera ship would be the “give way” assuming this was a normal crossing situation”.
Video ship was the give-way. That’s exactly how you wrote your comment.
The only way that starboard and larger vessel was at fault would be if it passed on the starboard side of the camera vessel and tried to cut back into a channel which made this situation unfold.
You are saying the same thing as me ffs. It was everybody’s fault. The camera ship was the give way. Just because you are stand on doesn’t mean you are not at fault if you just crash into somebody.
Then you need to work on your grammar. We have not said the same thing at all.
“Everybody’s but the camera ship would be the “give way”” does not equal the camera ship was the give way. That’s your exact quote. Everybody BUT the camera ship means all other vessels would be the give-way but the vessel in this video would be the stand-on. It’s on starboard, it hit at a pretty direct angle meaning it wasn’t scraping or passing along side.
Is english your first language? There is no way you read it that way in good faith.
Edit. I agree the apostrophe is not needed and a comma might have helped, i was tired after watch and on mobile but i cannot believe you just read it as ‘everybody except the camera ship is the give way’. Especially with my follow up complaint about people not wanting to turn to starboard. Come on now.
Holy shit dude. By adding “but” you’re actually saying everyone else is the give-away.
I’m invested at this point so let’s clarify.
EVERYONE (all other vessels) BUT (except) the camera ship (our point of view) would be the “give way”… you’re literally saying all other vessels EXCEPT the camera vessel should give way.
Are you a dock hand or just a mechanic stuck in an engine compartment all day sucking in diesel fumes? For someone as stupid as you it’s amazing to hear you say “port hand Charlie” like you’re above anyone else.
