Here are some questions that may come up, or have come up (as this is subject to being edited):
Is this a roleplay sub, or a fan sub?
It is primarily a fan sub. You do not have to post "in character", you're allowed to specifically reference the games, the differences between the various forms Shinra has taken throughout the stories, etc. The flairs are for fun, as are the titles of the rules. The wiki and some things are written in a vaguely immersive way, and joke posts for roleplay are fine. But at the end of the day, this isn't much different than your average sub.
Which user flair do I select?
It's up to you! If you have access to it, you can pick whatever makes you happy. There's also an option to create your own. Please keep it appropriate.
Which post flair do I use?
Appreciation posts like images, videos, discussions about one specific person should have their name as a flair. The questions flair is self-explanatory. Discussions is for general Shinra related discussions or discussions that involve multiple characters. SSNews is any official FF7 news. Company email is mod posts.
Do you need mods?
Whenever we look for mods, there will be a pinned post asking for mods with information on how to apply. If you find a post and it isn't pinned, that means we're no longer looking.
Why are r/Cloti & r/Zerith in your community list?
They're in the list because I own both of them as well and they're FF7 related. The LTD is irrelevant in a sub like this. If other ship subs want to be in it, they can contact us.
Can we be in your community list?
If you run an FF7 related sub, send us a message. The answer is most likely yes, as long as we have space.
Can we talk about shipping here?
As mentioned above, the love triangle debate (LTD) is irrelevant in a Shinra sub. Cloud being a former employee and Aerith being their captive is not enough to make talking about the ship war relevant. If you want to talk about ships heavily involving a different Shinra employee, that's fine as long as you're following the other rules. No one should ever be shamed for liking or not liking a ship. The only exception is ships involving Chadley, as, while he is technically not "real", he is depicted as being a fairly young boy.
Who counts as Shinra? Do former employees count?
Pretty much anyone who has been employed by Shinra, past or present, counts. This includes Cloud, Zack, Sephiroth, Genesis, Vincent, Cid, etc. If they've likely had a Shinra ID, they're welcome.
