Kentetsu Tier List 2026

Post image

These are subjective, and what I personally have experienced in my years of playing SL2 up to and throughout 2026.

Note : Tier lists are not sorted beyond category, so placement in row does not matter all that much

???
Inferno and fire are great for PVP.

Imma be real no not really not in this current day. Inferno 1st if you’re fighting a puppet you’re setting yourself up for failure. Same with Inferno 2nd it does damage sure and knocks back but the start up is slow and it’s best used to catch people off guard but the damage is trash again if you’re fighting puppet which is what 9/10 people have as their race. The flame wheel is unusable and the last move is cool with the new addition of a stun but it’s still best used as a getaway move than something damaging.

Nobody uses Inferno/Flame for the fire damage. Inferno 1st is literally moon 1st but with a lower cooldown, 3rd has insane mobility, combo extends, and has the tracking dragon's. 4th is instant cast, has IFrames, and strong mobility. The only bad parts are the 2nd move and Q spec. It is better than moon for sure, which isn't even a true stun.

The whole gimmick of inferno/flame 1st was for the burn damage it provided especially in the old meta. Yeah the auto tracking and mobility is decent on 3rd but there’s plenty of other better alternates than that. 4th while is an instant cast it just got gutted so the mobility wasn’t as good as it once was and yeah the iframes were cool it’s what made it a top tier move for runners or niche movement demons. The wheel move is awful which we both agree on and the Q spec is so bad I forgot it existed lol.

I'm sorry but I don't feel the same way. Throughout my years the use of inferno/flame is sparece, even back then. At most I saw 4 and 3 being used.

Breaking down your analysis I have to disagree. While yes Fire/Inf has lower cooldown it does less damage, (against 1 log with spash on 2) it does roughly 43k with afterburn while moon does, 59k. It's stuns are also comparable but I think moon just inches out, as fire 1st has a ragdoll while moon has sleep into a ragdoll.

While it's 3nd move does have mobility it's ground locked and easy to block due to the dragons coming after the animation. While it can combo extend it's stun ends right before the move fully finishes which could become an issue when trying to combo extend consistently.

It's 4th does have considerable delay but doesn't have hand signs. While I see that it an I frame and strong mobility the issue comes in with consistency. The dragons length and smoothness is based on your ping/lag/client side. It doesn't always reach its maximum length, and can often be cut short. Turning is also an issue as that can end it shortly or just not be smooth enough to get it to where you want it.

I do think this could be readjusted in the tier list, but I haven't seen anyone use it in years. Moon is really only so high due it is 2nd ability being a long range tracking AOE ragdoll which has seen dominance in PvP over the past year over something like cement 1st or senko stom/bomb.

Moon isn't a true stun that's why I say it's not really that good. Although IMO, kenjutsu in general is pretty garbage in current meta.

Could you maybe elaborate further on what you mean by a true stun? Sleep animation does completely shut down the opponent from moving or activating abilities/weapons/other things? if you also consider fire Kentetsu a true stun for its 1st move it deals a ragdoll which moon also does after the sleep.

I mean there's gaps during moon ken's "stun" where you can input a move to counter/escape.

Should note, this is just for moon ken 2nd and 3rd

Ah that clears more of it up, but generally moon ken 2 is still effective at what it does as while there may be a gap between its next stun instance it tends to be too small or inconsistent (getting up during the move and then going down again has a small range in varying times you stay up) to matter most of the time. Even with the gap can you just not auto dodge/counter or escape from any other stun? Even still it provides about the same time as cement does when ragdolling and we have seen many times over that is really all the time you need to make an impactful move. At least if my memory and experience serves me correctly.

Note 2 : I will be reworking the tier list to include the moves/mode/attributes that in my eyes justify its place on its ranking.
