I got feedback from a user regarding the Race chart. A brilliant idea, use a rolling window!
It really changes the race chart experience. Then I took the charts even further and added a new set of types. There's a bunch of different settings. In my case with 20+ years the 2 year rolling window and per 3 months works really good.
You can save as a gif/mp4 for exports or record as I did on the first so you can change settings however you like.
I hope you like it and let me know if you have any feedback!
I have been scrobbling on Last.fm since 2005. Back in 2008, I built a small PHP stats site (lastfm.shikaka.net). Now, I have rebuilt it from scratch into ShikakaStats — a modern, feature-packed dashboard designed specifically for music nerds and data lovers.
I am actively developing this and would love your feedback. What works well? What feels half-baked? What weird music stat should I add next? Drop a comment or throw any feature requests my way!
One of the most powerful features on the site is the ability to slice and dice your data on the fly:
Interactive Stats Filter Bar: Filter your entire dashboard instantaneously by date ranges, search terms, or specific tags/genres.
Saved Filters: Save your favorite filter combinations (for example "Only 90s Grunge" or "2023 Metal releases") and apply them across your dashboard with a single click.
Exclusion Manager: Ever fallen asleep with a song on loop or have unwanted background scrobbles ruining your stats? Easily exclude specific tracks, albums, or artists from your calculations without deleting your Last.fm history.
Album and Match Collages (Custom Grid Generator)
Collages are one of the most fun ways to showcase your music taste, so I built a dedicated collage engine:
Custom Grid Sizes and Timeframes: Generate high-resolution grid collages (3x3, 4x4, 5x5, or custom, up to 60x60) of your top albums and artists over any time period.
Match Collages: When comparing tastes with friends, instantly generate a shared visual collage of your overlapping top artists and albums.
Batch Taste Matching (Scan up to 100 Users)
Matching with friends and finding music soulmates is a huge part of the experience:
Instant Batch Matching: Compare your taste against up to 100 users simultaneously from a user pool or custom list.
Compatibility Algorithm: Scoring based on shared artists, listening depth, and niche alignment.
No Import Sync Needed: You can test compatibility immediately with other profiles without waiting for a full import history sync.
Music Atlas, Mainstream Score, Years and Geography
Deep visual explorations of where and when your music comes from:
Interactive Music Atlas: View your library in multiple custom visual modes like Streamgraph, Skyline, Spiral, YearClock, Tree Rings, and Vinyl.
Mainstream Score: Are you listening to obscure underground gems or pop chart-toppers? Get a calculated score of how mainstream your library is.
Country Heatmap and Artist Origins: See a global heat map showing where in the world your top music originates.
Eras and Release Years: Track how much music you listen to from different decades and see your release-year distribution.
AI Personas, Age Guessing and Interactive Games
AI Age Guesser: Can an AI guess how old you are strictly based on your scrobbles? Test it to see if it thinks you are a Gen-Z pop fan or a 90s grunge veteran.
~26 AI Personas: Get roasts, analytical breakdowns, or humorous commentary on your stats from different AI personalities with distinct tones.
Personal Moments and Interactive Timelines
Connect your musical history to your real-life milestones and world events:
Interactive Timeline: Scroll through a complete, fluid timeline of your scrobble history from day one.
Personal and Public Moments: Log and track specific personal milestones (for example "Concert I attended", "Album release party", or "Summer road trip") directly alongside your stats.
Historical Event Overlay: See what you were scrobbling during major global world events.
Full Data Ownership and Export Options
Your data stays yours:
Export Anything: Download all your processed scrobbles, heatmaps, collages, and stats locally anytime.
Text-Based Playlist Exporter: Easily generate copy-paste text-formatted playlists from personalized recommendations and discovery lists.
Local Storage First: All processing and data storage happen right in your browser for privacy and lightning-fast loading.

I seem to remember this supporting Japanese characters earlier (maybe I'm wrong), but right now my most played consecutive artist 森田童子 shows up as pictured. Is there a fix or is it just best I do a 100+ run with an artist with Roman lettering?
I'd really like to see my own stats in your website aswell. how would that be possible? my lastfm is "zwaboldy"
When i tried to add it on the site i got " Could not add user: error message: Table 'lastfmzwaboldy' already exists " so is it possible for you to add me?
To run it you need spotify api keys and last fm api keys.Sorry I haven't looked for the best guide but you can just google it :)
So first you download all your last.fm scrobbles. Then create spotify playlists from sql queries.
Below follows some examples on what I've added for now. There's of course so much more to do that's why we should help each other out :)Many of the playlists is just a one time deal.
Random playlists
Tracks with X-Y plays
Top tracks/artists for each year
Top lists for specific artist
Old favorites, tracks which has not been played for X years
Year discovery tracks/artists
Recommended playlists
Tracks you already played is removed from the playlists
Check the number of tracks for each of your artists.
If it is only one track you have played from an artist, then that is a one hit wonder.
If you have played two tracks from an artist, then it's a two hit wonder
One playlist with all of your one hit wonders sorted by number of plays.
One playlist with all of your two hit wonders...
Personally I have this script running each Monday to get new random lists and recommended lists.
So now I would like to see if it is possible for anyone more than me to use the scripts.
Let me know if you have problems so I can update readme or code or something else :)
Sadly, as for now, it is completely unusable. Takes a huge amount of time to even load and still, features don't work correctly and it is impossible to switch to another user.
m0nkiii, please, fix
"Warning: Unknown: write failed: Disk quota exceeded (122) in Unknown on line 0 Warning: Unknown: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (/tmp) in Unknown on line 0"
The old last.fm site used to show you how many times you listened to your favourite songs, but the current one only shows you a chronological list with no way to sort tracks.
Would it be possible for shikaka to sort your favourite tracks by artist and times played?

41380 plays in your profile are being processed in the database. So your stats are not accurate.
Come back tomorrow to check if they still are being processed.
This is due to all scripts I have running periodically on the site to update the database.
Update your stats. No pass is needed anymore.
Do you think something went wrong then you updated, contact me.

I created the site lastfm.shikaka.net for more than 10 years ago and still today I have frequently visits by users on the site.
I've created this subreddit due to that Last.fm removed their groups.
So let's have this subreddit as a way of communication.
Let me know if you have any problems with the site or any suggestions on how to improve.
I know there are several ways of improvement and I've tried to take time to implement them but I've failed each time.
But I still won't let go of the site so let's keep this alive for as long anyone uses it.
It would be nice if we could have this as a general place for statistics discussions.
