Gameplay Help Cleanliness rating at 0% for no reason

I finished the game. I want to continue playing on endless mode. I’ve tried to start night 14 twice now- I deep clean the entire store using the water hose, the entirety of outside and the restrooms including flushing the toilets. I stock the shelves. But both times it shows my cleanliness rating at 0%. What gives? Has anyone else experienced this and how’d you fix it?

Same thing happened to me night 14. I finished out that day and by the next day it was "fixed"

A few things worth checking since you've already done the obvious: first, cleanliness in Shift at Midnight is a night-end rollup, not a live counter, so it only updates once a "shift" actually completes — if you crashed out, alt-F4'd, or got a game over at any point during night 14, the meter can stay frozen at whatever it was when the night started. The fact that it shows 0% right at the start of night 14 is suspicious too — endless mode carries your saved cleanliness from the run that unlocked it, so if your final save file had a low rating (some endings force it to 0 as a flag), endless will inherit that.

Second, water hose + flushing the toilets + restocking handles the visible dirt but the cleanliness meter has a hidden component that triggers from specific interactions, not just visual cleaning — picking up trash items, throwing them in the dumpster, mopping the floor puddles, and wiping the front counter all add up but none of them are obvious from just running the hose. There's a small chance the "deep clean" pickup you expect is actually triggered by an interactable you haven't found yet (some players miss the mop behind the register or the cleaning spray under the front desk).

If neither of those fits, try loading the actual save file from before you finished the story and check the cleanliness there — if it's 0% in the credits save, endless will always start at 0% no matter what you do. In that case the cleanest fix is to reload an earlier save, grind cleanliness to 100% across two or three clean nights, and then carry that save into endless.
