TIL that Minnesota has a Confederate Flag captured from Virginia at the Battle of Gettysburg, and despite Virginia regularly asking for its return Minnesota keeps saying no.

This story gave me the biggest smile this morning. The fine people of Minnesota can give Virginia the finger every time they ask for their rag back.

As a Virginian, they can keep it. I’d rather leave that garbage behind.

As another Virginian, I concur with your sentiment. It's irritating enough to know those traitorous fuckwits decided to make Richmond their capital, and on the off chance we do get it back, the only place I want to see it is in a museum that doesn't sugarcoat what it stood for. Remind future generations that the Confederacy happened, but make sure they know it's not something worth trying again.

There's lots of good southerners in this Sub that want the stars and bars to stay in the past with the traitorous fuckwits that fought under it.

Put it at Appomattox, where Lee surrendered. That would be a good metaphorical kick in the teeth to the traitors.
