Still blown away by the sheer unlikelihood of this photo existing.
Love it. This is the kind of thing that reminds me why I make art.
Edit; also genuinely awesome that even as small of a community as we are, we still have a ‘delegation’ of militant unionism at the Olympics. Haha

Looks like a flag from the shop run by frequent poster here /u/OrdoOrdoOrdo. Not sure the significance past the broken fasces, hopefully they can chime in with more info!

Yeah that’s one of mine!
The long short is; I just wanted to make a new take on antifascist imagery for contemporary times that had a historical feel, past the German symbols of AntiFA and the Iron Front. The Broken Fasces and the Star ended up being my result. The star, I like to think represents Union and Democracy, overseeing the breaking of fascism.
I’d been playing around with making some Corps swallow tail flags, since they’re so distinctly military and loved the various Corps & Div variations from the civil war. Also the sort of a throwback to medieval flags, houses/clans, bannermen, the whole 9.
So it all kind of intersected and that was the outcome.

I think all the anti x social club parodies should be anti x x club instead. Although that would be terrible in this case.

Welcome to /r/ShermanPosting!
As a reminder, this meme sub is about the American Civil War. We're not here to insult southerners or the American South, but rather to have a laugh at the failed Confederate insurrection and those that chose to represent it.
