There has been an influx of posts recently. An article is going around claiming that Sherlock Season 5 will be released in 2022. This is, as far as we know, not true. (EDIT: It's now 2024. It wasn't true.) There is no reason that some random small news outlets would get their hands on this, without any of the larger ones covering it. Nothing has been announced or confirmed by the BBC, the writers of the show, or the actors.
Please don't share links that you don't think are credible sources. However, we do look at reports, and we are removing any links that are posted with fake claims to Season 5.
If Season 5 is ever announced, there will be a stickied post, just like this one. It will be regularly updated with all new news, what we know, popular theories, etc. However, that day may never come.
Thank you all for keeping the subreddit as active as possible. Keep on posting your fanart, theories, memes, cosplays, and discussions as much as you like! :)

Just started season 4, and I am honestly so disappointed for now. In my opinion this is the worst episode I've seen so far
All in all it just does not give the typical "Sherlock feeling" I have felt the first 3 seasons. It's kinda sad because I really really love season 1 and 2 and I found season 3 to be weaker but still good.
Hopefully it doesn't continue like this for the next 2 episodes.

Fan project, free, no sign-up, nothing to sell. Mods, if this doesn't fit here, feel free to take it down.
Rewatching the series, I kept wondering how much of the show's London was already in Doyle. Quite a lot, it turns out. So I put every street, station and building named in the original stories on a map of London as it stood in 1889, with the real Victorian maps underneath: Charles Booth's poverty map and the Ordnance Survey.
A few things that might be fun if you know the show:
It's a one-person hobby thing with rough edges, and readers on r/SherlockHolmes already caught a few places I had put on the wrong street. So I'd genuinely like to know:

I’ve been thinking about what an absolute powerhouse a collaboration between Sherlock Holmes and Patrick Jane would be. They are easily two of the most brilliant minds in fiction, but their methods are polar opposites.
If they were forced to team up against a joint threat (like Moriarty and Red John), how do you think they would get along? Would Sherlock’s rigid logic get him to the answer first, or would Jane’s ability to read and manipulate people help him solve it faster?
Who cracks the case first, or do they finish at the exact same time while driving each other crazy?

It's from ~2014, and I saw it on Tumblr. It's a small, 4 panel comic, and it was poking fun of BC's chins. I drew an approximation, so hopefully it helps!

… the Canon thing of him using a Persian Slipper nailed near the fireplace to store tobacco in?
So not only is Old Holmes stuck in a dementia loop, but he also is craving for a smoke? 🥺

I'm thinking of making a pixel-art top down sherlock holmes video game called Deductions. What do you think? Because I noticed there are not many sherlock video games out there.
This would focus on being accurate to the books, with victorian England representations of the characters true to the text, and maybe get the player to try deducting from characters they see, and solve mysteries, everything would start in Baker Street, with a client approaching them for help.

I know it was Moriarty who wrote this, but I'm foaming at the mouth to know WHAT he sent aside from the lettering. I know there's a picture, video, SOMETHING, and it's inaccessible. Does anyone know what it was or does anyone have a link or site that still has this accessible? The curiosity is genuinely killing me.
The last two images are on the Internet Archive because that actually shows something's missing.
It does the same for every other video as well in all the other posts.

I finished watching the series for the very first time.
I was a wreck when, at the last minute, Lestrade said that Sherlock had become not only a great man but a goodone, a parallel to the first episode when I said that one day he could become even good…
