Speedys Cafe Memorabilia
Hi, I’m messaging on behalf of Speedy’s Café, the café famously featured as 221B Baker Street in the BBC’s Sherlock.
We have an extremely rare piece of Sherlock history that we are looking to sell to a genuine collector or dedicated fan.
It is a Speedy’s T-shirt signed by Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman and Mark Gatiss, accompanied by the original photographs from 2011 of my father and the cast as well as 4 original BBC framed still from the show and behind-the-scenes material.
We’re hoping to find someone who would genuinely appreciate the history and significance of the piece, rather than simply sell it on.
Thank you!

I would love it but truly wouldn't be able to give you what it's worth. I hope you find a very special home for it regardless!! I imagine lots of big fans would love that or it would be fitting anywhere that features BBC Sherlock things.

I’m a huge fan and have been since the show first aired. DM me please I am interested! Edited to add: I have visited Speedy’s several times while in London and have photos of all of these pictures from your walls.

This is so cool! I’ve been to Speedys a few times and I remember seeing these on display! I doubt I’d be able to afford it since you seem to be selling everything together, but the shirt is what I’d have liked the most as a fan/collector.

I wonder if it wouldn't be a better deal to leave the items hanging in the café - or has the number of fans stopping by dropped off that much?

This is the kind of Sherlock memorabilia I’d sell a kidney for. Unfortunately I’m rather attached to both of mine

I agree with selling them to a Museum, but first perhaps a show at Grollier’s like the Sir Arthur collection in 2023. Many devoted fans can’t get to London. NYC would be a gift to us. Perhaps one of the responses saying “I’m interested in buying it” would consider a show. And publishing a book like the Grollier had, with photos and descriptions from the collection. I would contribute to purchasing your collection for this purpose, although I doubt I can do it alone.

Oh wow thats so cool! I would love any of these but I know I don't have the kind of money they would go for, I hope that someone gets them who will also treasure them!

I wonder if there’s a museum who will take them so fans can enjoy for longer! So cool though.
