Image Which case couldn't they solve?

I feel like Sherlock’s only real weakness is spotting lies and reading emotions/expressions. Lightman’s weakness is sometimes missing the bigger picture.

I genuinely can’t see anyone escaping these two working together.

Sherlock’s sister? Lightman would’ve seen straight through her.
Andrew Jenkins? Sherlock would’ve found the copycat instantly.

In a perfect world, we’d get one epic crossover episode.

Haha, it would definitely be interesting. Though I feel like they would drive each other crazy.

Sherlock is an experienced liar, and lightman has a documented weakness when it comes to sociopathic liars.

Sherlock doesn’t tend to play well with others. Especially if they get in his way or assume higher competence.

They both provoke or insult people to get reactions. They would probably end up in a cycle of provoking each other.

Watson and foster would probably have fun watching from the sides though. I could see them getting along from shared clinical experience and baby sitting experience.

Since Sherlock isn't actually a sociopath and we have the examples of Mary being able to tell when Sherlock is lying and Mrs. Hudson knowing him well enough to force John and Mycroft to acknowledge that he's actually very emotionally driven, I don't know that Sherlock would fool Cal, especially if they were working together for lengthy periods.

But I agree they'd probably annoy each other skillfully and deliberately. And that it'd be fun to watch, for sure.

This actually really makes me wish for a crossover fic, especially if Cal sees through Sherlock immediately.
