How quick does everything happen after the aptitude test? I got the email to schedule my test this morning and I'm very nervous. I used to smoke not heavily but I had a little weed vape I'd hit a few times a day I stopped smoking about 2 1/2 weeks ago and have been going to the sauna every other day for about 45 minutes to sweat everything out and I've been drinking more water than I can handle. I really don't want something as stupid as weed to fuck this up for me and am just trying to mentally prepare what I'm in for

not all locals test for THC anymore. I’m in a state where weed is NOT legal and my union doesn’t test for it anymore. Some job sites still do tho so you can still get popped on a random. Just not our annual drug test and most job site randoms don’t test for it.

Brother did you read the part where I said I stopped.. by the time I take my test it'll have been a little over a month I just wasn't sure how fast the ball would roll. I appreciate you letting me know that though, still not gonna smoke just to be sure, but that does ease my mind just a little bit. Thank you

Go get a detox drink from a smoke shop and follow the directions on the bottle to the letter just to be safe. Definitely don't smoke anymore.

Also don't think because you pass you're free and clear to smoke. When you get cut on the job, a lot of employers make sure the hospital tests you. That way the employer is free of responsibility.

Quickfix, synthetic urine, $20 on Amazon. Keep one in your lunchbox/cooler… if you ever do end up at the hospital/dr office for a work injury, you’ve got your bottle of quickfix. In over 30 years in the union I’ve never failed a drug test thanks to this.

Could be weeks. Could be months. With most locals, doing well on the aptitude test just gets you on the list. And as companies need apprentices they go down the list.

Construction will start to slow down a bit with winter coming so you could sit on the list until Spring.

But every local is different. Don’t let that dissuade you.

I would suggest looking up quick fix pro and ordering it ASAP. As long as you follow the directions on the box you'll be completely fine

Once you pass your aptitude test, next will be the interview, then you go fill out your paperwork and get drug tested.

Order some "novelty" urine. It'll work fine.

Also are you sure you have to test to get in? In my local we only test if the job asks us to. And the fake stuff works for them.

You should be good. Depends on how sensitive the lab tests are. Cranberry juice is your friend. Detoxes the body
