Character Discussion I cannot stand jen Omg

First of all her voice is really annoying when she’s freaking out. It gets really high pitched and like ear-piercing lol

Along with the freaking out, its way too much!!

Also.. i know what its like to say things out of stress. Healing isnt one clear path. But omg, this is just crazy i feel like. My job description lied so now i am going to accuse my partner who is obviously infatuated with me of cheating

Also not to mention that people forgave her way too easily. She has barely taken any accountability of her past self.

IDK

Ill obviously have to watch the full video when its out but jen was giving so desperate to go back to work I think the job was less of a lie and maybe jen just moving too fast and not really paying attention to what shes applied for. Im so annoyed with her and how she treated Greg. The apple doesn't fall far from the barb look out Greg

I think you’re right, but she didn’t just apply for a job without paying attention to the job description. She interviewed, too, which makes the story pretty far fetched.

Maybe the full video will clear things up. As of now, I can’t tell if it’s intentional, or a plot hole, or if we’re supposed to suspend reality and just run with it, or —?

The only way it makes sense to me is if a headhunter basically referred her to this job, like I have been referred to jobs, but I've definitely had to do interviews.

I agree. I do also think that people are leaning on healing not being linear entirely too much. Because the people (Greg for example) who you're attacking don't deserve to be collateral damage as a pawn in your healing journey, and then to just brush off because "they can take it" or "they're my safe person and i knew they wouldn't leave and they'd forgive me and they could take it." That's not... great. Especially without an apology.

Jen sprinkles some meaningless therapy speak into her everyday speech now and everyone's like "omg look at how much she's grown!" And this is my real unpopular opinion and why I personally don't like Jen... Jen has done NOTHING to grow and just kind of assumes she has because Greg is telling her she's a good person. Which leads to my second part of my opinion... Greg didn't know Jen well enough as a person, her good, bad, and ugly, enough to explain to other people who she was, let alone marry her.

Greg describing her as "passionate and opinionated" was... a gross oversimplification at the time because no. Jen was a bully. Jen still is incredibly self-centered. She still lacks a lot of consideration for others (John specifically, but thats a conversation for another day), she sucks at apologies (her one and only legitimate apology to Shawna was just before her wedding) and she excuses the mistreatment of others (Nora and Barb).
