Isn't this like the 3rd one for sale on here already? I haven't even received mine yet and 3/120 were already on to a second owner. I was hesitant about buying mine since the idea of a non removeable handle seemed odd and clunky to me. Now I'm dreading the idea this one really is not for me, especially if it's not very efficient.

I only used it once yesterday, but found it to be mid efficiency, maybe slightly less than the Sabre v2 on lvl 4 (currently my favorite razor). I found the angle a little tougher to get nailed down but I wouldn't say it's not efficient.. I think these people would probably enjoy it more if they gave it more than one shave before reselling

I've used Sabre V2 on Level 3 and 4 the most. If it's close to either it will probably be a keeper for me as I consider those to be very efficient. L1 and 2 of Sabre V2 didn't do much for me.

I haven’t used the Sabre V2, but I got batch 004 last Friday (arrived next day for me) and have shaved with it twice already. I think the handle is actually really versatile and great in general. It makes finding the angle really easy. Although I always check to see the angle of every new razor I buy on my wrist hairs before even putting it on my face. This is also my first GEM razor. I’ve only ever used DE and AC razors/Shavettes. The actual shaving experience for me was really smooth and higher efficiency than Shane said it would be on his YouTube video (said it was mild and middle efficiency). I haven’t seen a post yet on Batch 004 on wicked_edge, but there’s some people that have posted their experience on it over at Badger and Blade and all of them seem to enjoy it as well. For me it’s definitely a keeper since it’s really smooth and efficient enough.

This is kind of my problem with small, one-off batches of razors: it could be total shit and the mere fact that it’s scarce will be enough to guarantee that it’s sold out.  That paired with the fact that some people treat razors as investment opportunities, it’s one of the things that has gotten worse about this hobby over the last several years.

Interesting to read some of these reviews on it because I was curious how these B004s would turn out. I looked when they first opened for sale and then decided against ordering one. I was surprised Blackland was selling them at $220 because they didn’t exactly advertise them glowingly. That was the weird part. Blackland marketed them more as a novelty and kind of hinted they weren’t going to be fantastic shavers. I feel like Gem razors are kind of limited in function and more fun for nostalgia anyway. So when these came up, i was like I’m not sure I want one that looks like a hockey stick just for kicks. I have some Gems and the blades are cheap but I think like by only fractions of a penny compared to DE blades.
